I am so happy with the results of my breast reduction from Dr. Zach Barnes! He and his staff are truly wonderful people. Dr. Barnes is an excellent surgeon who is caring and attentive. He patiently answered all of my questions and helped me through my healing process, reassuring me along the way. I couldn't be happier with my results and I can't recommend Dr. Barnes enough!

Do not get a BBL here. Im 6 months post op, and look pretty much the same as I did prior to the surgery. Now I am looking for another surgeon who can actually give me what I pay for.

Had a BBL done back in March. After the swelling goes down, you look exactly the same. Biggest waste of $13k. I am the laughing stock of my family because of it. Someone “reached” out to me to talk to me about my horrible experience then ghosted me. People ask me who did my bbl so they know NOT to go there. It’s humiliating. Going through all of the stress of surgery, the horrible recovery process just to look EXACTLY the same. My hip dips came back and my butt gets smaller every week. Getting this procedure was the absolute worst mistake of my life. They are all so nice to you before you get the surgery then right after you get it, no one responds to you or helps you. I cry everyday over my “results”. Absolutely mortifying. Do not come here.

They were the nicest people to work with for my breast augmentation and did a wonderful job. I love the size I picked. They did a great job of informing me of what I needed to get done pre op and took great care of me during my post op appointments. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

My wife Christina farran paid a down payment on a house on a Brazilian butt lift with Dr. G. The doctor refused to FaceTime me the husband about the surgery and my wife. The surgery then came out the opposite of what she asked. He acted like everything was fine and did nothing to correct it and took zero accountability

I came for a breast augmentation consultation and met with Dr. Barnes. Dr. Barnes has practiced in 2 states other than Oregon and has been licensed in this state for a little over a year. There are no before/after photos of breast implants from him and his reviews on RealSelf are old. He dismissed my chest wall concerns and thought he could give me 650cc High Profile for my 1st surgery. He also insisted on over-the-muscle and admitted he did not have much experience working under-the-muscle. As a very skinny person, over the muscle would be a terrible idea because implant rippling would show. Also, there would be no muscle to cradle the implant, keeping it higher up for a longer period of time (prevent sagging). He kept citing an easier recovery for over-the-muscle, but a slightly more painful recovery should be the last of your worries for implants that will last 10+ years. He did not measure my chest width but they took my weight: 98 lbs at 5’3.
I went to 2 other reputable doctors after this consult who were both concerned about my chest wall deformity called pectus excavatum and that there was no way I could achieve large implants on my 1st surgery. There’s simply not enough skin (too skinny, A cup) and the physical width of larger implants are wider than my chest width. For instance, I had barely 11cm on the right side to work with and the 650cc Sientra High Profile implant is 14.7cm.
If I went with Dr. Barnes, my skin would be incredibly stretched (which has its own set of complications) and the implants would be partly in my armpits or back because I do not physically have 14.7 cm of width to house the implant.
When I told the 2nd doctor what Dr. Barnes said, he asked “Was this an older doctor? We don’t normally perform over-the-muscle anymore”.
When I told the 3rd doctor what Dr. Barnes said, he asked “Was this a real doctor you went to? ”
Neither doctor had heard of Dr. Barnes.
Both docs were adamant that there was “absolutely no way” they could do large implants for my 1st time. They even said it would “completely ruin the integrity” of my breasts.
I went with the 3rd doctor & I am very happy with my results. Recovery was smooth. They were about $1,000 more expensive than Athenix, which is nothing when you think of potential damages that could’ve been caused with the cheaper surgery Athenix offered.
Lessons are: Go to at least 3 consultations with reputable doctors, research the doctors, seek before/after photos, and don’t gamble with your appearance by going with the cheapest option.

Oh my goodness! Best experience I could’ve ever imagined! I was super reserved and is scared, and every single thing about this place Dr. Barnes and his entire team were so amazing. The team was like hanging out with my closest friends. Dr. Barnes is so amazing! Realist and ALSO listens to what you’re wanting AND finds a great in between! So Humble and personable. After I met with his amazing nurses, I met him, and i immediately knew that I trusted him and his team and booked the surgery. Trust is a really big thing going into surgery! Also I LOVE my results! Thank you so much! I would 10000% recommend people to dr Barnes! And as for his team I would recommend them all to a bbq at my home lol.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Barnes and his team. After having a very bad experience with Dr. Gigena (inappropriate comments, canceling my surgery a week before the scheduled date over a personal bias and not a medical reason), Dr. Barnes decided to step in and take my case, he even rearranged his schedule to accommodate me. I’m so happy it worked out this way and he ended up being my surgeon. He is so professional and answered my many questions during the consultation. He was honest with me about what to expect with my results. I’m 3 weeks post op and feel great, and I’m loving my results already. I had a few concerns the following days after my procedure, and he got back to me within 20 minutes each time. Amazing surgeon!
All of the nurses/staff there are very sweet and helpful as well, I did not feel nervous the morning of my surgery because of how they treated me.

For an already sensitive appointment, they couldn’t even “show up” and do my consult. I was sent a link via email a week before my appt to log in and waited for 30 MINUTES before getting an email saying “sorry we missed you” while I was still waiting on the video call for someone to log in. I was already so nervous about the procedure and had been looking forward to the appt only to feel like I wasn’t even important enough to talk to.
A possibly life changing procedure to someone, being treated with such carelessness. How incredibly hurtful. Not to mention feeling more insecure than ever.
Way to go Athenix. You did the opposite of your goal.

If they can’t even keep an appointment what makes me think they’ll do a good job at something more serious…

I had a BBL done in 2021 and I like it, don’t love it but it’s better then what it was.
And then I had a tummy tuck and a breast lift from a different doctor. I believe his name is Dr. Orlando and it’s not what I wanted not what I envisioned. And I’ve had two surgeries out of a athenix, body sculpting, and now I have to get a breast revision because they are not what I wanted and when you tell them to Lipo areas, they don’t lie bro what you want.and they don’t offer Jplasma or any tightening of the skin.

I’m almost 2 weeks out from a tummy tuck, lipo, and breast lift/partial reduction. Nothing but wonderful things to say. From the beginning, Lizz was my contact person and the sole reason that I kept adding services. She is super professional, informative, and she took the time to listen to me and truly understand my goals. I expected to be up sold on more procedures but that 100% wasn’t the case. Actually it was the opposite!

My surgery and recovery has been easy breezy. I’m very happy with my results.

My surgeon was Dr. Barnes and I think he did a great job. He is research driven and doesn’t do things the way they have always been done “just because. ” A few times he mentioned the latest research behind his practices. He has 20+ years experience and I appreciated that he was still up to date on new research. I felt like he listened to me and was truly concerned with my comfort. I felt like he truly understood me and my lifestyle (mom of 3 young kids all under 5) and would offer suggestions with ME in mind. Everything felt catered to me.

My OR nurse was Steph and the woman is a saint. How can one person be so amazing? I have no idea. She made surgery day a CALM, easy, comfortable, enjoyable, funny, safe, attentive experience. She was so patient even when my mom and I were asking repetitive questions and super nervous. My mom has very high anxiety and even she was super impressed! (And she doesn’t like anybody!)

Recovery was much easier than expected. I called Athenix 3x for questions/concerns after surgery and within 3 minutes I was on the phone with a nurse every single time. Every nurse I spoke to took their time with me, shared a laugh, and basically acted like they were so happy I called. What? ! Everyone from the front office staff to the nurses to Lizz, to Kayla (the angel who removed my drains), to Dr. Barnes have all been wonderful. I can’t even think of something negative to say? All in all, a great experience and I will definitely be recommending and returning!

They continuously delete my review. I would not recommend Athenix at all. My partner had several surgeries done in a row, and they were obviously not done correctly. By the time her follow-up was scheduled, that doctor had been let go. They admitted things did not go well. They said they would take care of it, but nothing has happened yet, just the run-around. Several visits have been scheduled, yet they always have an excuse for their mistakes. Doctor was suppose to be present and was not! Then over booked. Months have passed and what has happened is, lost work hours, mileage on her vehicle, and the cause for DEPRESSION. Even if they would fix their surgical mistakes, they want her to pay for anesthesia, which is around 2k. After her surgery she could only get the drugs she needed from them. Mistakes were made and that ended up in several additional trips. Total money spent is near 40,000 dollars. Speaking for myself, I would call this Malpractice. This is an updated edit from this point on. Things got even worse with her last and final visit. The doctor was very rude and disrespectful, even to the point of saying degrading things about her looks. She came home in tears and told me what had happened and how unprofessional they were, including the nurse that was present. He's lucky I wasn't there. End of story.
