Gym Athletic Edge reviews
19Took my son there for the first time and boy did he have fun. Got right to work. Loved it. No one gave us a hard time when I was showing him different workouts. Everyone is very friendly
I met with Jason on my first visit. Process from tour to me being ready to go and working out took under 30 minutes. Staff and other patrons were friendly and kind, and the facility was clean and well organized. Overall fantastic experience for my first gym. Highly reccomend.
Has everything you need + more. My only complaint is that it’s pretty much at max capacity everytime I go, but to be honest I understand. A great gym with good equipment and for 20 a month? Can’t beat it. Thanks guys!
So far so good. It is pretry full.have to go after 8pm. Great equipment and people keep to themselves.
Wonderful gym, 24 hours so great late night relaxing workouts. The app lays out where everything is. Friendly, inviting. *WAY* cheaper than other gyms! Price is actually reasonable in these "trying times" lol. Very satisfied.
I’ve been going to Athletic Edge for about 8 years and I have very mixed feelings on it now.
I miss the good ol days when half of the gym was just batting cages and a rack of free weights lol.
Equipment wise, this gym is great for anyone starting weight lifting or casual gym goers. If you’re more advanced in the gym, I can only say that Athletic Edge is a good fit for you if you’re needing something that’s 24/7. In that case, this is perfect for you. Otherwise, be prepared to deal with rack-hogging teenagers and an overpopulated space. There’s other gyms out there but thankfully Athletic Edge is my go-to when my main gym is closed (forever grateful).
Unfortunately, the size of this gym can no longer hold the amount of people that workout here.
I’ve also noticed that it seems like owners care a bit more about the courthouse. I can understand that, but the fact that it took this long to invest a bit more in small and necessary equipment (such as new rope attachments when the old ones were hanging on by literal threads) for AE bums me out.
Most of my interactions with staff have been amazing. Although, the crew that was on when Nick was managing was much better in MY personal experience. Seems like there’s a couple bland young kids there that might not seem approachable to new people. I’m also not there much during staffed hours, so take that with a grain of salt.
At the end of the day, I do really love Athletic Edge. I think it’s a bit harder for me to love it as much as others only because I’m used to being able to workout in a fairly open gym that was only investing in AE and not the courthouse as well.
For the price, it’s hard to beat. I recommend AE to anyone that asks me about getting into lifting.
I do hope to see more love and genuine care being put into this gym again. It seems more like quantity over quality now.
Rant over lol. There’s pros and cons- do your due diligence.
Very open and clean location, lots of free weight, and plenty of machines for cardio. Friendly staff! Most people here come to workout and keep to themselves and having a very open place helps for that.
Absolutely the best gym I've ever stepped in! The staff is super friendly and helpful, the gym is clean, and they have pretty much every piece of equipment you can think of with space enough to avoid being crowded! Honestly I was debating between a 24hour fitness membership or Athletic edge and I couldn't be happier with my choice For anyone reading this I hope to see you there!
Trash gym that mixes their staffs personal affairs with customers. Keep your money this gym is low quality, dirty, and can’t even get their prices together.
Athletic Edge is a very good place to work out.
They have good facilities there, clean and well kept.
And the employees are nice and helpful also.
Lots of machines for treadmill, stationary bikes, and weightlifting.
Definitely a good place to go get your flex on!
ARENT FORCED TO WEAR A MASK! Amazing to have my God given rights at this gym or I wouldn't workout here and would cancel my membership
Amazing gym with a full set of workout material for only 20 DOLLARS A MONTH! Amazing deal one of the best in town
I really enjoyed it. Me and my buddies had a good time pumping iron together. Definitely worth the 20/month + 10$ for key card
I briefly had a membership with the Athletic Edge. It's really basic there are much better gyms in the area with a lower monthly fee plus On multiple occasions the staff were rude and then after a couple of months covid started and my ex and i cancelled our memberships.we filled the form out online as asked and apparently they never cancelled my membership and continued to charge me for months and months. When I realized this they refused to give me any sort of a refund at all.
I love this place! Cheaper than the purple judgement zone and open 24/7. If your afraid of anything like really sweating or a real place to workout instead of a peacock strut farm, might not be the place. But if your just hear to workout and go to work, or home, or whatever. This is the place!
It is not clean. Their cancellation policy is also extremely annoying and inconvenient. Service isn’t great either.
I usually don’t post reviews, but my experience here was pretty awful and don’t want people to have a similar experience.
I think it is terrible that teenagers are more responsible when it comes to wearing a mask then fully grown adults, I'm there 3 times a week with my friends and I swear some people don't even wear masks. 5 stars because I know it isn't the gyms fault that people are stupid
Clean place. Everyone that goes there keeps to themselves, and I really love that upstairs is a pretty quiet place to work out, doesn't get really crowded.
I go early in the morning so there's not alot of people, which makes your workout more enjoyable and there's more machines for one to use. I just really wished they would open back up at 2am, as it's more of a convenience for some of us to go at that time.
Other then that, I would totally recommend Athletic Edge.
Reminds me of a large city hole in the wall gym. Only problem is it's not a large city and the equipment just seems super dated.
I do enjoy this gym a lot its a nice price for the machines. I do wish the wifi was stronger or used a range extender. I would like to be able to load my spotify account and playlist without Buffering
