Banfield Pet Hospital, Portland OR

I do not know how this location has been given such positive reviews. We went to this location for the first time with our new puppy. First, we spent 20 minutes standing outside calling them to see if we could come in, per their policy. Not a single person answered the phone. Finally we went in. Not one person acknowledged us, greeted us or let us know they’d be with us shortly. It was 40 minutes after our appt time and no one had helped us. We finally decided to leave. This is the last place I’d want to give my money. Their service to customers is a reflection on how they’d treat your pet. Be prepared to be disappointed.

Very friendly and helpful. Forgot paper work for my flight the next day and they fit me it and got everything I needed.

I've had good experiences and bad experiences here I guess that's just about on par for the course

Initially I gave this place a 5 star review. However after my dental cleaning with my dog I give it a 2 star. There was a lack of transparency throughout the whole process from the doctor I selected to do the procedure to the "overall" vibes I felt after the dental cleaning.

My dog had no issues with his teeth or health, I just decided to come in for a bonus check up. I regret to say that my dog experienced abuse during the process and he is grieving and will eventually forgive his memories here and heal in spirit.

Update: Hillary was very rude to me on the phone when dropping off my pets. I mentioned the price for nail trim was twice the price as other places and she told me to go elsewhere then. I told her a little empathy was all I needed and she refused to acknowledge that.

That's sad because everyone else at the pet hospital has been very kind.

Questioning the price during a pandemic isn't unreasonable but telling me to go elsewhere is very unreasonable.

It only takes one bad apple to ruin a whole bunch. I will likely make arrangements to have my pets cared for elsewhere as she suggested.

Love taking my puppies to this location. Staff is always very helpful and awesome, always friendly and very attentive with my concerns!

Jessie helped me get my new puppy all set up w/ Banfield, answered a ton of questions, and was extremely helpful over a 30 min phone conversation. I would highly recommend giving them a call about their services for your pet.

We have been a client and had a wellness plan our Cat for more than 12 years and never brought him in for anything else but for fleas, until this last summer early fall for a possible urinary tract infection or blockage, our wellness plan covered things of nature we were turned away forced to go to another clinic because they were to busy an that they recommended, it cost us approximately $400.00, That made me want a refund or free service for up to a year strongly consider canceling our plan at that point and finally did about an hour ago because our plan just went up another $4.95 a month for Simon are Cat

I wasn't here for my pet, but the environment was friendly and the front people seems awesome in every way.

They are solutions-oriented, always working to get us in quickly and providing sound advice. Dr. Boutet is super experienced, practical, and budget-conscious, consistently recommending what’s in the best interest of the pet while considering costs, which can be a tricky balance. She also takes the time to listen and understand what’s going on, so she can provide the best individualized care for her patients. Despite her busy schedule, you always feel like her number-one priority when she’s caring for your pet.

I also love that with our Optimum Wellness Plan, we can go to any Banfield for care in a pinch, and that we get discounts on services not covered by the plan.

Very friendly and helpful. I was able to get an appointment quickly and my fur-baby is back to her barktastick self.

Ok, I'm going to ding them one star because sometimes I feel like they suggest additional treatments just for the coin. There's that kind of corporate vibe. BUT! The staff couldn't be nicer or more caring, and all the vets are amazing. So the quality of care is awesome and I couldn't ask for more in that regard.

We love Banfield. They are, without exception, friendly, efficient, and experts on caring for our pets. Drop-off appointments are scary for both pets and pet-parents, especially overprotective parents like me, and Banfield staff makes it easy to leave my fuzzy pals without extra worry.

The vets and vet techs at the Burlingame Banfield are super friendly, welcoming, and just all around awesome! Our puppy, Triscuit, has been a Banfield patient since her very first vet visit, and we couldn't be happier. They're always excited to see Triscuit. I'll attach a picture of so you can see for yourself why they like it when Triscuit comes in!

Everything went very smooth. They really do seem to love the animals there. My cat was diagnosed with diabetes so I have a lot to learn. I've had to call back with questions twice. Everyone acts like they are with me all the way and they are there to get all of my questions answered. I am so thankful for that.

This specific location for Banfield is my favorite. They are unbelievable kind and understanding to both my pet’s and I’s needs. My 60 lb senior pup is extremely stressed and nervous for nail trims. They do everything they possibly can to make sure she has a positive experience! I won’t go to any other location now and I drive clear across town to get here:)

This Banfield location is staffed with extraordinarily kind people. Dr. Toleno is kind, genuine, honest, and sincere. I always feel like they have my pets' best interests at heart.

You still have to pay for your pets care plan even after they pass, you can't just cancel it. Isn't it enough that you lost your best friend? Rediculous.

I love this Banfield the most. This is the only one that Witcher (my german shepherd) doesnt act traumatized after. All others he wants to flee asap, but this Banfield he acts like he had a good time and would be okay staying for longer! I trust this staff and I enjoy how much they care about making sure your pet is not only healthy but also happy.
