Care was adequate for basic comprehensive exams. Unable to make appointment over phone or online, had to go in person. Appointments booked wrong multiple times. Exam rooms not cleaned between pet visits. Pets always taken out of sight for exams and vet follow ups at the end are rushed, un-informative. Wellness plan is difficult to cancel and will cost you money in the end - customer service will not explain break down of charges and is unhelpful in understanding how the plan is beneficial.

Took my dog in who has recently sounded congested and sneezing a lot. Also she has bumps on her skin that has been tested and diagnosed as a immune disorder. Dog was at Banfield the whole day - cost was $400. Got nothing for her sneezing and congestion. No diagnosis just told to bring her back if anything changes. I brought her in to prevent her from getting worse. The doctor said they requested records from vet who ran skin test, but hadn't received by the time doctor called me. I asked the doctor if she'd be in tomorrow, she said yes - as I was hoping for some diagnosis, soon. Upon picking up my dog I confirmed the Vet Tech (who gave me a ointment to put on my dog skin) if the Dr.would be in the next day - she said no. I don't understand why the doctor wasn't forthright with providing more of a time line. I'm still worried about my dog and out $400 for a visit that should've been around $150.

I've been a customer of Banfield (in different locations) throughout the years with my 6 year old pup. It's not always consistently great service, but my dog has never been sick. So therefore, the service (for vaccinations, flee & tick prevention, teeth cleaning, and standard wellness visits) have sufficed.

I typically don't write negative reviews as I don't want to hurt any ones business. However, I really thought I'd feel better (after our visit) as there would be more care shared. I was willing to spend even more money - if that's what it took to make sure my pup was in solid health. Unfortunately, now I just feel like money wasted and that we weren't taken seriously.

They don’t answer the phone, at all. Called back to back several times at least 10 times. Someone definitely kept forwarding the calls. The problem with Banfield as a whole is that they charge insane amounts for their plans but never have pleasant workers, enough vets on site & it’s extremely hard to get in touch with anyone. Horrible.

Vet techs are NOT trained to handle anxious dogs. Kept my puppy for over five hours without any communication and could not do any tests that were suggested. Sent me home with advice I could have found online

AVOID at ALL COSTS

I have waited to make this review until my cat was finally in the clear. I found a stray cat who was very sick. We went to this Banfield and they were so unbelievably unhelpful. This was a time sensitive issue, my cat was literally on the brink of death, and they really did not seem to care at all. They gave her a completely unnecessary and expensive x ray. They didn’t have any advice, and quoted us $6-7k to check her in overnight to “try and figure out what was wrong”, but said we should probably put her down. I don’t want to discredit the schooling a vet goes through, but a quick Google search told me what was wrong with accuracy. I am so SO glad we got a second opinion. It’s been about a month, and the second vet we went to has been so kind and helpful and, for nowhere NEAR $6k, my cat got the procedure and treatment she needed. This includes all the medication, prescription food, all post procedure check ups, and all the bloodwork she’s gotten. ALL of that combined for a fraction of the cost quoted from Banfield just to check her in overnight to diagnose her, not even to treat her. The second vet was appalled by the lazy behavior from this vet. They do not care about your pet. They just want your money and for you to sign up for their plan. So beyond disappointing. My cat would be dead right now if I didn’t go to a second vet for another opinion. I will never go to another Banfield again.

They answered the phone, didn't ask to put me on hold, put me on hold, after waiting 5 minutes they hung up on me.

Amazing customer service, super friendly. Great follow-up and ridiculously in-depth vet visits!

Location hours are not up to date on website or on the front door, clinic scheduled me for a 7am appointment only to learn that they aren't open until 8am AND the clinic isn't open on a Sunday (the day of my appt) I had to call multiple other clinics and wait on the phone only to be told that they couldn't help me get information for another location

Highly disappointed in my experience here. We arrived early for our 10 am appt, checked in, and were taken to a room which hadn't been cleaned between patients. There was still animal hair on the table. Then a vet assistant walked in addressing us with the wrong patient information before realizing they had the wrong room. Then when the right assistant came in, I described my concerns which included severe food insecurity, which is made worse by having extended periods without food access. Was told they would call "in a few hours" after her general exam and single vaccine. At 2pm, after several hours without any communication, I called twice and no one answered. I went to the clinic to try to get information and it took 3 people to tell me my cat won't be ready until 5pm, two of which misgendered her. For a single vaccine and exam. I used to work in a vet clinic so I get that it gets busy, but you have to communicate with people effectively. And why do you have 10am drop offs for appts if you can't get to them until after 3pm? My cats digestive system is so sensitive. I would have gone elsewhere if I had known she would need to wait all day in a kennel to be seen. Disappointing and unprofessional communication, or lack thereof.

Dr. Hudson has taken care of my furballs for three years now. He has shown compassion along with high level care! I have seen him for about 9 visits now and I've had nothing but a great experience here, and I truly can be picky especially when it comes too my animals!
The support staff has always been A+ for every visit, no matter who was working, it's always been the same great experience.
-They take the time to listen
-Dr. Hudson CARES about your pet (I can only speak for my Dr, I'm sure the others are great as well)
-Tremendous compassion at a time of loss
-High quality care

(this is not an emergency care provider and I don't think it's fair to expect emergency care, covid has everyone short staffed but they work with my schedule and for preventive care they're A+!)

Had an appointment scheduled. We arrived and they couldn’t find the appointment. Went to a vet that accepts walk ins.

They try to sell you plans and the services are expensive. I didn’t feel comfortable bringing my pet here.

It’s impossible to get any help when you pet is sick. They told us to wait weeks for an appointment while our pup was getting sicker by the day. We’ve had to go to other vet clinics for the last three issues this year. We’ve been with Banfield and a wellness plan form almost 10 years. They stated the wellness plan is meant for regular check ups and added benefits should not be assumed. A big selling point on Banfield and their health plans was the free vet appointments and discounts with test. I would not recommend Banfield as a vet for your pet.
