Banks Vernonia State Trail reviews
4 Beautiful trail through the forest. The trail for the most part is wide, is well maintained, and clean. There are multiple split off points for hiking as well as mountain biking.
From Buxton onto Vernonia you are mostly shrouded by the forest, but is still bright and well lit during day times.
Awesome trail for all sort of activities. Biking, walking, with or without your pets, hiking, etc.
The Banks -Vernonia rail trail is a wonderful riding experience! While the pavement can be rough at times (bridge ends in particular), it combines the adventure of a wilderness trial with convenience and safety - with restrooms roughly every five miles it runs parallel with highway 47, so you're never that far from help if needed.
Awesome senic trail to take the road bikes. Steady uphill heading towards veronia from manning trailhead. We even got to see and pet goats
Excellent trail ride little over 20 miles each way from Banks to Vernonia. All paved. Only real downside is there's a lot of traffic, other bikers hikers horseback Riders. Also nice that they have a bike shop right next to the banks parking lot for repairs, and if necessary rental.
