Barnett Service, Maupin OR

Had a breakdown in the area on a weekend. They got me checked out right away, ordered parts and had my repairs done first thing the following week. Cost of repair was very reasonable. Something to be said for small town service.

Broke down in town of maupin. Barnett service is the only tow truck company within 40 miles. I called to see if he would answer and see what options we had for towing. He said he was working and available. He quoted me 5 dollars per mile for the tow that was back in Washington. He made no objections at that time. I then told him we called AAA he then called AAA and said our car was modified and from the gambler 500. We told him that the gambler is in chemult Oregon which was over a hundred and fifty miles away our car broke down on pavement.he then proceeded to tell us that AAA only pays him substantially lower rate per mile and it was not worth it to him at that price. So basically. He would only tow it of we paid him 5.00 per mile #shamfull to take advantage of people stuck hundreds of miles home. Price#gouging. Avoid giving this company any#business!

Gene is an incredibly nice guy. My girlfriend recently had to abandon my car on Mt. Hood during a bad holiday snowstorm, and he was the guy who ultimately ended up towing it per ODOT request.

When I came to collect the car, he was apologetic that we even had to do business with him, saying he dragged his feet as long as he could to let us come find the car ourselves. The rate was reasonable, and he knew what he was doing (Subarus need flatbeds), so I appreciated that it was in good hands and out of harm's way.

Barnett's is a trustworthy and beyond capable car repair business. Like many car repair places, you have to trust what they say and quote. But before you let anyone repair your car, go see Gene. I never got the impression that I was being taken advantage of or lied to. There isnt any bullcrap in this establishment. They are the best!

Did not give me what I asked for with my engine swap, engine should have gone in a race car not a 94 chevy pickup. Do not back up their work and do not care. Towing seems to be reliable though.

Ran out of diesel 40 miles from nearest gas station location. Promptly came to our aid and gave us enough fuel to make it to the next gas station. Very kind and curtiois, picked up the slack where our insurance company failed.

My husband and I were on our way to Walla Walla, WA when our car threw a rod 76 miles north of Madras. We sat along side of the road until Mrs. Barnett came with the tow truck and towed us to our mechanic's shop. She was very efficient and friendly. We were pleased with the service. Thank you so much!
