Best Taste Chinese BBQ Restaurant, Portland OR

The sign in their restaurant says $10/lb for BBQ pork. The guy at the counter entered $13.8/lb in the scale's unit price. Therefore, he wanted me to pay $15.87 on a 1.15lb BBQ pork. I confronted him and the lady behind the counter started to yell at me and told me just to give them $11.50. She acted like I didn't understand 1.15lb costs $11.50. They are rude and disrespectful. I will not come back.

The fact that the chinese food quality in Portland is at this degree. And people still have the audacity to put good review for them.

You are either never had ACTUAL good chinese food before. Or you are a pay actor.

A roast pork look as blend as their, and lack the roast color and taste. It pretty much taste like hot water boil pork. And people call that tasty.

I'm giving this place 5 stars because they have traditional zhongzi (sticky rice with meat, egg and peanuts wrapped in a bamboo leaf) and it's the only place in Portland ive found that makes it.

The duck is good too, although the rice could use more dippings but this place is like a blast from the past: nostalgic Chinese home cooked food with no fancy frills. Price is a little on the steep side due to the increasing cost of supplies and meats (thanks covid). But I got 2 meats and rice for $15 and a zhongzi for $3.50 (that one is a huge deal, highly recommended you stock up on that!)

Definitely will be back. Might just do the duck rice plate for 12.50 next time.

Bought a whole bbq duck for $25. You can get duck, chicken, and a few dimsum items. Everything was to-go. Prices are reasonable. People are super nice.

I have been in this place twice First time poor service and rude, second time i had only cash on me and exact so i asked for that amount and they got such an attitude the older women needs a happy pill! WHAT HAPPENED TO CUSTOMER SERVICE. THIS PLACE HAS NONE. WON'T BE BACK

We heard about this place when I was getting a haircut next door. My daughter asked, "What's that thumping noise? " And my barber said they were chopping BBQ pork next door. And I said "We need to get us some of that BBQ pork. " And the barber said "It's really good. " And she was right.

And of course since my kids love Dim Sum, we also loaded up on Shrimp Shumai, Hom Baos, Sticky Rice in a Banana Leaf and Sesame Balls with Red Bean Paste. They were really nice and the food was really good.

I walked in on a Thursday
afternoon and was told
take-out only.

The regular menu is not
being offered and I was
shown the Dim Sum items
on the steam table.

I selected BBQ Buns, fried
sesame balls, pork and
shrimp dumplings (Siu Mai),
and steamed pork ribs
with a pound of BBQ Pork.

The ribs did have a lot of
fat, but had good taste.

The BBQ Pork was lean
with a nice sweet taste.

The pork and shrimp
dumplings were moist
wth nice balance of flavors.

The BBQ Pork Buns had a
bright red color and had a
sweet taste to them.

The fried sesame balls
were a little greasy, but
had a nice sweet bean
paste.

A nice place for Dim Sum
and Chinese BBQ including
duck.

Located on SE Division in
Portland on SE 83rd in
a small strip mall.

Credit cards are accepted.

Very good Duck and pork! You can phone in orders or wait in line but get there before 11am.

Great food and we drive 1 hour to get to it!

Would absolutely recommend visiting this place. Great mood, fresh food, fantastic service. Highly recommended.

Legit dim sum, all fresh, moves fast, great prices, friendly service. Best chicken feet ever, if you don't like theirs then you'll never like it. BBQ duck, char siu pork, whole pigs with crackly skin, what's not to love? Try to show up early for the most selection, stuff sells out because all the cool kidsssssss are gettin it firstttt

Very good dim sum. Chow fun is excellent as long as you eat it right away as the noodles don't hold up long

If I could give it zero stars I would. Their service is really bad. If you’re not Chinese then don’t expect good service. The gentlemen there are really nice but theres a lady there who provides horrible service. I asked for extra sauce and the guy was about to give it to me and she stops him and tells him not to. My sister went in to buy crispy pork and asked for the neck portion where its a more lean. The lady tells the guy to cut two end pieces to give to her and to put the middle piece which was the leaner part back in the display. We end up not eating the fatty part because it’s inedible. We absolutely will not come back to this place. I would recommend Good Taste near My Brothers Crawfish which provides much better service.

Love their wonton soup! Since covid we've only gotten their roast duck and some of their dim sum togo.always yummy

First time this place. Dim sum was excellent. Wontons the best. Roast pig and BBQ duck were great.
