Best Western Cottage Grove Inn reviews
18Nice place, near lots of fast food. We had a short visit and were pleasantly surprised how nice it is.
Excellent, comfy rooms with pretty good customer service. The girl running the night shift wasn't SUPER friendly, but also wasn't rude. The beds are very comfortable. You are also walking distance to several places to eat as well as a gas station and coffee shop and are also right next to the freeway. The only thing is I wish they had more vegan breakfast options. Aside from that this place is very good. I would stay there again.
Good breakfast daily. Rooms are clean and quiet. Staff is friendly and helpful. Close to freeway for travelers. Not far from old downtown which has many quaint shops, restaurants, and a river.
Really poor insulation. If you are a light sleeper bring along some ear plugs. It seems to be a very busy hotel that is in need of some updating. Bottom line for a night's sleep it will do.
I have never been to a Best Western that felt this gross. Ridiculous amounts of spiders, lukewarm "hot" tub, rusted bathtub fixtures, and tv remotes that don't work. Every one did seem nice, but our room wasn't ready for 2.5 hours after check in time. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, but when you have cranky tired kids at nap time, it is.
The staff were great. Accepted instacart at the front desk for me, more than willing to assist me with other guest related items.
Room was very clean. The bed had extra pillows which was very nice. The breakfast foods were fresh and delicious.
Molly at Cottage Grove Best Western was wonderful. As was the chef who prepared our morning breakfast. Hotel was very clean.
Stayed here for one night on our way to the San Juan islands. Nice clean room and excellent staff. Breakfast is included. Only five minutes to downtown. Will be returning on our way home to California. Cottage Grove is a cute town. Our dog gives it two paws up!
From the call to making reservations to checking out our service was excellent.
Rooms clean, friendly and helpful staff.
With Covid we still were able to place an order for breakfast.this was made and placed in refrigerator to be picked up.
The area has plenty for everyone to do. Some shopping available, golf, outdoor outings, covered bridges and more. Eugene/Springfield only about 45 minutes north.
We stayed June 29,2022. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was good, We had a small dog and they had a nice area for the dog. Not sure about the area, there was a lady staying in her car on the property that shares the driveway, next to hotel and she undressed in front of us while we were sitting in the car, getting ready to leave. I would stay again.
Noisy drunk people sexulizing in the pool openly drinking
They got kicked out however I had to go to the front desk twice to get anything done about it.
The doors to the room are thin and have hardly any insulation and can hear everything from everyone in the hallway and in rooms near me
Wasn't worth the cost of what I paid
Stayed one night here with my granddaughters. Very nice property. It was clean and I felt safe. The breakfast was way better than the Coos Bay Best Western. The beds were better too. Would Definitely return again.
Very clean, wonderful staff. Breakfast was great. The pool is great with a nice hot tub. We will be coming back
Re: Your recent stay at Best Western Cottage Grove Inn
The room we had was clean and comfortable, which was a nice surprise given we had to immediately book our room at 11 pm without review. Our truck and trailer broke down on I-5 and we waited four hours for our tow trucks. Our arrival check-in was quick, which was great as we were exhausted. In the morning, Molly, the exceptional front desk clerk learned of our situation, she offered us late check-out and use of the hotel lobby and breakfast area to sit while waited to hear from the car dealership's service department. Molly's professionalism was awesome, both by the way she treated us and to the customers who walked in and those on the phone. She was a shining star during our difficult situation.
Staff was friendly and respectful, room was excellent. Clean, sanitized room, huge bathroom and all the amenities you could need. Full breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, muffins and more.
I just checked out where was pretty reasonably priced for a couple night stay in Oregon or Washington, and Cottage Grove won. I don't always care where I go; sometimes it's just about going. It worked well enough, but one night would have been enough here, and I wouldn't use it as more than just a place to sleep for a night when passing through again. Check-in was a weird experience - making you call to get someone at the front desk seems wrong. He didn't really seem to be listening to me, and having to order food for the next morning then and there didn't make sense. That food the next morning was bad, too, and I may have micorwaved my hand (but that's a different story).
It felt like traveling back in time a year when COVID was just a month or two old. I appreciate doing some things to keep people safe, but let's be realistic here, folks. The hotel itself is old, but refreshed (I wouldn't call it a real remodel). The decor and lighting made it feel darker and dingier than it probably actually was, but the bed was comfortable enough, and the shower was decent. I asked for a high floor, and was given the first floor. Overall, I just didn't fell very welcome, but in reality it's just a pretty average Best Western.
Specifics:
Comparison to others in chain: Average to slightly below
Internet: Decent
Breakfast: Bad
Room: Dark, dingy
Cleanliness: Fairly clean, but could use a good thorough cleaning
Bed: Comfortable
Bedding: Basic and light, not great pillows
Shower: A bit light, but good shower head
Hard water: Mildly
Location: Freeway exit
Noise: Average
Staff: Below average
Cost/Value: A bit expensive for this hotel in this location.
Staff was great. My husband and I went there just for an overnight trip away from our children. We were able to swim and use the hot tub and no one else was using it so that was awesome. The hotel was clean and comfortable and we really enjoyed out time. I would have liked stronger coffee but that's just me. Keep up the good work!
