Best Western Pony Soldier Inn - Airport

Decided to stay at this best western.as it was close to the airport and the woman on the phone was so nice. Check in was quick and a breeze. Shawn was great. My room was clean and all the hotel amenities that you come to expect were all there.and then some! To my surprise there was a handwritten note and an elephant made out of towels on my bed. Smelled so clean and felt just fine taking my shoes off! All housekeeping should aspire to emulate "liz the housekeepers " above and beyond customer service Definitly Put a smile on my face. Breakfast in the morning was just great too! So many choices. Not just an apple and a smile like most places since covid. I couldn't have asked for a better stay. I was a little sad I had to be heading home after being cared for like that! Shawn. Liz the housekeeper. And the breakfast chef that I conversed with over my breakfast. 5 stars! Fantastic job best western pony soldier!

I really liked the hotel. We stayed for 3 days, for Portland GP. The hotel is near highway and MAX, it has breakfast, parking and pool. Definitely would stay there again.

Staff was very accommodating and helpful and got us checked in early for a quick stay before a flight. Short shuttle trip to the airport.

Spend my honeymoon here in a Suite and had an awesome time. Loved the hot tub. Went to the Grotto and Powells Book store. Had a beautiful time. Staff was amazing and Dilaila and Lupe were great.

Good: friendly staff and good breakfast
Bad: our room smelled bad. We stayed on a pet Friendly room, but that should not be the reason why it is not well cleaned, stairs going to the external building seems dirty. The area did not feel safe (all the hotel entrance are locked) and there was homeless around

ROOM WAS DIRTY. JETTED TUB DID NOT WORK. 2X WRITTEN REQUEST FOR FIRST FLOOR ROOM WAS IGNORED. NO ONE READ IT. HAD TO GET ROOM CHANGE AT CHECK IN. REMOTE FOR ROOM TV WAS MISSING. FRONT DESK TOLD ME TO COME GET A REPLACEMENT. POOL WAS OK, BUT MURKY. ROOM WITH SLIDER TO POOL WAS NICE. THERE ARE A LOT OF HOMELESS FOLKS UP AND DOWN THE STREETS AND CAR BREAK INS ARE A BIG CONCERN.

We booked a room at front and back end of trip for the park and fly option. When we arrived we were unable to get in lobby. After yelling through a window front desk person let us in astonished that we didn't know they had to keep locked due to homeless problem. She then stated she would not leave her car there, better to park at airport. After a 4 hour drive after careful planning this was not what we wanted to hear. We decided to change our plans and park at airport and canceled the reservation for the night of return. Very disappointing. Only thing good was a comfortable bed and a 3am wakeup call that actually happened.

I give service to six but it only gives me five stars. My vehicle is still at the beginning of what was going to be a month long sabbatical. They are very understanding and were amazing with my dog. The pet rooms are awesome as there's a little courtyard that's fenced off and can let your pet go off leash. For several days I was the only one in that area so my dog was King

There was old urine in the toilet that stunk up the whole room.after that we found a rotten gallon of milk in the fridge.all in all the place was nice

This hotel has a wonderfully pleasant front desk staff. The room that I stayed in was immaculate! The facilities and amenities are absolutely great! I'm very pleased with my experience here! Keep up the great work, folks!

I haven't even made it past the front desk and already they are making me feel unwelcome. The area is shady. Don't be fooled by the. Lavish looking front entrance. This place does not care about making you feel welcome. The front desk lady (Amy) answered her personal phone while "trying" to check me in. When I mentioned bad review about their customer service she didn't seem suprised.

Booked it for one reason, free shuttle. Only it ended well before our flight come in and I spent $24.50 before tip on a cab. If shuttle is going to end early. Be transparent and advertise that way. For a less than 7 hour stay, not happy

Stayed couple times recently. Charged $20 for early check in after night shift at a hospital. Was only ok. Could been cleaner. Tub uncomfortable w tile at the neck.one of my items was left at hotel. Soon as I realized it was left in the closet I called but it never showed up. Dont trust staying there any more which is a major bummer! I wanted to like this place so much better.

The customer service was terrible and very rude not accommodating and price was high room was not what I had expected and when I asked about another I was disregarded and basically was not possible to switch even though we had barely stepped foot in the one they gave us they charged a 300 deposit when we checked out another worker at the front had mentioned it was a very high deposit to charge and you can't get back for up to 10 days the lady had also told me to leave the property and wait for my other party next door and I could not use the restroom either even though we had a rsvp then she canceled due to the reservation being in my name and the other person who paid not present yet he had to work later so finally another woman at the ft. Interfered and allowed me to use restroom all said and done the room was 165.00 on a weekday night was not busy when I originally booked online for 111.00 flash deal I told her I would rebook online when I went in seems my party was present then and was not able to make rsvp in the parking lot as she ran me off twice. I understand they ha e a big issue with homeless in the area but clearly we were not homeless and have a construction business we came here for the whirlpool tub in room that was the main reason but we will not be back. This is my 2nd time staying here and the 1st time was similar experience except my friend was the person that was treated bad that time.

Unpleasant check-in experience probably soured my stay, but the staff was rude and unhelpful. The room was not fully cleaned. Garbage was still in the cans. They would not honor my reservation and charged me for the services of the hotel that I was unable to use. I will not stay here again. Lesson learned. Oh and the room was full of ants.
