5Beautiful scenery, amazing river, large camp sites (10 sites. Sites 1 & 2 are walk up only, the rest are reservable. Kayaks, tubes, floats encouraged.
Big River CG is small, but it's located on a beautiful bend of the river. It's quiet and a good place for floating in the river and biking. There is a pit toilet but no water or electricity.
Nice spot but when I registered online weeks before, it was nearly full. I had to split my stay in two campgrounds over two days. Out of 10 spots only 3 people were there for the entire weekend. What’s with the new reservation plan State of Oregon? It doesn’t seem to be working.
Spots that were listed on their main board as non reservable were marked reserved at the sites. The road is very close, and the traffic goes all night. The river is just as close with easy access. The campsite are flat, have fire pits with metal surrounds, picnic tables and sandy areas to put your tent. All in all of you're in need, it's a nice place to camp, not my first choice though.
Petit camping facile d’accès, les rues sont non pavées, les emplacements sont à bonne distance les un des autres. Les toilettes sèches sont propres. Il n’y a pas d’eau donc faites le plein de votre réservoir avant d’arriver. Il n’y a pas d’électricité. Vous vous enregistrez vous-même donc pas de cartes de crédits ou de débit. La proximité de la route n’est pas un problème. Il n’y a pas de station de vidange. // Small campsite easy to access, the streets are unpaved, the pitches are well away from the other. The dry toilets are clean. There is no water so refuel your tank before you arrive. There is no electricity. You register yourself so no credit or debit cards. Proximity to the road is not a problem. There is no drain station.
