How do I show negative stars? Cold food served as though all of their locations did this. Any other location is great, Beaverton Black Bear Diner served us cold food, then microwaved the plates for a few minutes and brought them back to us. I sincerely would not allow our dogs to eat the swill they brought to the table. Dumpster diving behind a Dennys will get you a better meal. Do not eat here

Breakfast at Black Bear = bacon! Enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with a friend this morning. Our server, David, was EXCELLENT! Thoughtful, attentive, and personable - even with the number of tables he was responsible for. For that matter, all the staff we interacted with were hustling - multi-tasking with smiles. Food came out in a timely fashion - and was exactly as ordered. Thank you, Black Bear - and David!

Good service and if you want something good and unique. Love decorating for Halloween and you can get cool stuff

We’ve been coming for years to this “go to” breakfast all day restaurant. And always been very happy with the food, the service and the prices. In the most recent couple of months, we’ve been a patron 5 times. 4 of those times, either the server did not take note of our requests or the cook did not take note of our requests. Not difficult changes; no onions, or can I have tomatoes instead of onions, and VERY crispy hash browns. Today was another mistake either made by the server or the kitchen or both. We had to get up from the table to go find the server whom was standing with all of the other front of house staff, over in front of the kitchen, talking to other staff. We took our plate, told them there was a problem and they apologized and had it fixed right away. When they brought my plate back to me, the cook didn’t even take the hash browns off of the plate to make new or even warm them. This meant I had a hot omelette and very cold hash browns. We understand the strain on the restaurant industry during this horrible pandemic. Staff shortages, vendor changes, product problems. But - this is definitely the time when the restaurants that are open, can ask their staff that are on the clock, to simply do better. Be friendly, be accurate, be appreciative. Not getting that from Black Bear right now. So we will be taking a break. Additionally, their in house music is so so loud right now, it’s hard to hold a conversation.

It’s a busy place. Their food were yum and they have a big serving. Make sure to order their blackberry bear claw and fried chicken it’s soo good! I took off 1 star coz they don’t follow the instructions you gave them for take out, specifically said to put gravy on the side but they put it on the mashed potato. They gave us a pancake without a syrup. (who can eat that?) anyways, it’s a good place for grub.

Nice family restaurant. They have a really good variety of offerings on their menu and you can order breakfast all day.

This down home restaurant is good comfort food! Also a lot of it! Our server "Melissa " was so amazing, attentive, friendly, informative. All the above! This waitress should get a raise! If all servers were as she is; Everyone would eat out more. We were staying across the parking lot at the Comfort Inn, she offered us the discount of 15% for staying there. Also was so accommodating to those items we may have needed for our hotel room. (we had some leftover) salt, pepper, butter, jam, silverware and utensils. I felt like I was talking to a relative. This was our 1st time here. It was really good food and big portions. We will definatly come back here again.

We love this restaurant you can always bet on bringing home left overs. Great home style food.

No cobbler to take home or other dessert. Breakfast was cold and had to ask to get it zapped. Toast was TOAST. Not warm bread which I appreciate. Service alright.

Excellent service, great food! The cream pancakes are to die for, put's Tom's pancake house to shame.
