Blue Pool Campground reviews
7THIS IS NOT THE BLUE POOL YOU’RE LOOKING FOR! (Probably) search for: “Tamolitch Falls (Blue Pool) ” that’s what you want.
Great little first come, first served campground. Nice roomy spaces, nice host, and a beautiful little river flowing behind us. The only complaint is I wish we had another day or two to enjoy it. We can't wait to visit again.
This campsite is quite unique. The river flows right next to your campground and surrounded with beautiful trees. I personally like this kind of quiet and isolated campground. Only one thing you need to mind is the train runs near around you. If you are sensitive to noise, I don't recommend it, but for me, it was perfect.
First a foremost, I want to let others know that this is not the Blue Pool! Several people came by while we were camping, trying to find it. It doesn't help that several others have posted pictures of the Blue Pool on this campgrounds page. The actual blue pool is several hours away. Secondly, the site was nice. However, a bathroom when you first enter the site is heavily graffitied and vandalized. It wasn't in working condition. There is graffiti all through the campsite. The campground host wasn't present the day and night I was there. They had a chain around their front door and a boot on their golf cart. This was a telling sign that the site may not be secure. Overall, it's a beautiful site. People are trashing it, though. Lastly, it is right by the road so there is road traffic and also train noise.
It's worth the hike. Defenl, I'm coming back for the 3rd time, so i can hike domw. Cause i go lost going down. But next time I won't. But i love this experience. It's one of my top lists.
Beautiful campground, easy access to hiking and water. The camp host was very helpful, and knowledgeable about surrounding areas of interest.
Very cute campground with beautiful spots right off the creek that make you feel like you are deeper into nature than you are. You can hear a bit of road noise, and the flush toilets bathroom is a little scary. The vault toilets were well maintained though. No cell service with any carriers.
Close to hot springs, salt creek falls, and many other hiking opportunities.
