Absolutely delicious.

I placed a rather big order for my family and me; despite being a one-man show, the owner was swift and efficient with the order. He kept everything in an insulated bag to keep it hot and fresh, and he even helped me to my car. When I got home, everything was still warm and conveniently packaged to keep the food fresh. There wasn’t a single thing we didn’t like. The gomoku udon was flavorful yet light, the tonkotsu was crisp and juicy, and the oyakodon was just lovely; my mother especially adored the oyakodon and curry. Everything was clearly made with care and dedication, and it came across perfectly. I’ll definitely come back, and if you want good Japanese food, Bonjapan Yaroku is the place to go.

Wow. I'm very impressed with how flavorful and just amazing everything we got tonight was. Food takes a little while because the owner is the sole operator of the food truck, but it was absolutely totally worth it. Best to phone in your order. We'll be back. Thank you!

I haven't been since he had his restaurant, but his soups are amazing. Top notch. Really nice guy, too. I am sure that his other food is great, but I never got past the soups. I worked in Salem for five years, and I ate there usually once a week.

I can't even word how good this place is. He's a hard as heck worker and it really shows. The food is the best not even some of the best just the best. If I worked close to his cart I'd eat it everyday.

Can we get this man a Michelin star please?
I’ve been to Japan…. And now that I’m eating here I’m realizing I haven’t had Japanese food on this level since. It’s truly above and beyond.
Try the vegetable tempura Udon. It’s exceptional. We also had the special which was grilled salmon belly and it was phenomenal.

Bomb Japanese food. He has a food cart on Portland Road now. He's a one man operation. I'd recommend calling in your order. His phone # is on his Facebook.

Wish he would bring back the Tempura, Goyza, and Fish Collars.

Best Japanese food in Salem. The wait isn't even that long, considering it's a one man operation. I make it a point to eat here whenever I'm in town.

The owner was so kind and patient on the phone while we tried to order. The wait time is totally fine considering he's alone. We loved the food! This was the best miso soup I've ever had and the karage is great. Would absolutely reccomend!

Needed some comfort food on a late Tuesday evening, and their katsudon hit the spot. It's been years since I had a good one, and this was exactly what I wanted!

I think this is my favorite Asian food on Salem.
The Gyoza is beautiful and is amazing. We never skip on it as a side here.

Love this restaurant. Bento boxes are great. It is a one man show so the wait time is a little longer than most restaurants but it is totally worth it. The owner is from japan and he takes great pride in his work so you know it is authentic and made with pride. I will be going back not only for the service but also for the delicious food. 10/10

This is the closest you can get from a meshiya. I’ve been coming here for quite sometimes now and the food never disappoint! I highly recommend the salmon belly!

Authentic and delicious! You'll have to wait patiently if it's busy as there are very few staff, but wow is it worth it. This restaurant has the most authentic Japanese food in Salem, Oregon.

This place was recommended to us by a friend who's had nothing but great things to say about it. Anyway we where very happy with the food especially that it was freshly made. Service was great and friendly.

Glad my husband suggested trying something different than what we normally do today, everything was really good) We will be back.
