BottleDrop Redemption Center reviews
25The employess are the most obnoxious people ive ever seen doing customer service. They act like they're cops. One girl says F#@$ more times than incsn count. Do yourself a favor and gonto Winco
Unbelievabley rude staff, I give my recycling to anyone who wants to be belittled and treated like s#@t. For dinner money
First time visiting a center like this as I was wanting to get rid of a pile that'd built up at the house. The process was more than a little murky and I ran into issues. The staff was very friendly and eager to help and they were constantly milling around offering assistance, giving directions and cleaning. While it took a bit longer than expected, overall a positive experience.
The experience has been good and bad. Not bad for me but close for sure. A couple of months ago there were some staff here that weren't very pleasant. There still are a couple of workers here that should find a warehouse job away from any kind of customer service. Not people friendly. There's still 1 or 2 bad eggs. But other then that they are some solid workers that have good eyes. There's a little badass chic that is on top of her game. Im not sure her nationality not like it matters but she reminds me of a puerto rican friend i used to have. Shes all of 5ft2 and maybe 90 lbs. But she has a tone that you can hear you know the one that makes you feel like your in trouble
The most power hungry sad employee's I've ever seen, do as they command or get banned. Most people coming here rely on this extra income and they treat them like sub humans. DO NOT COME HERE! To all the employee's, enjoy smelling rotten cans all day kids.
This place is run by theives. I've dropped three green bags in the last couple of weeks. And no money on my account. Nobody can tell me why.
I called to file a complaint at the main office. An abusive employee at 8am 9-15-2019 she was screaming at a guy and he said nothing to her. To my surprise not really, they didnt ask for my info to check back with me.
Every time I have gone in there, one staff person in particular is always nice, friendly, funny and just makes my day. She is always helpful, and even if I have had a bad day, seeing her and her bubbly personality cheers me up. Bottle Drop would be stupid to ever let her go. The employee I am talking about is Danielle.
Going there some days are a piece of cake. Going there other days are not so good. It depends on who's working there. You can feel the stress in the air. Today, Easter Sunday a guy came in with Washington drivers license. Told to leave per Oregon Law. OK good. But for the remainder of my time there I was subjected to the staff smacking him down after the fact. I suggest when you go there make sure your an Oregon Resident and don't argue. Otherwise you will be humiliated.
This place hate poor people and is also racisms and if your from Washington you will probably get eating lI've because your not Oregon don't come here never
Very rude staff! The past two times I have gone in they have been very rude and you don't even do anything wrong. I will throw away my cans before I ever go back to that place. Beware of how they treat people.
I always go early about 9am or earlier and I never have to wait. One of the machines went down today and I had to wait for a hand count. Despite the unexpected complications, the staff had good attitudes and helped me in a timely manner.
This place is terrible, all the workers do is talk to each other and go outside. I asked one of the young ladies working there to help me with my ticket being dispensed incorrectly and she told me to “I don’t care use the others ones” and LITERALLY points to a different one. She was expecting me to leave my money ticket in the machine and go to a different one. Bottle drop is a joke
Don’t go unless you are an Oregon resident. They check, and they are d**ks about it. The security guard literally harassed me in the parking lot. It was completely unnecessary. They claim their other locations check, but they don’t, just FYI. I don’t use their companies bottle drop at all anymore. I would recommend using Oregon Beverage Recycling Cooperative. Their customer service is better.
The staff here need to understand that having a "better then you" additude is not the way to do ur job. Do you think that the homeless people who come in to turn in cans are some how below you on the totum pole of society? The way you present your self to the public should not be determined by your social status while representing your busy. The staff are extremely unprofessional.
I wish I could give 0 starts Becuse the smell was bad it took a half hour to get to one machine and when I went back to my car to get the other bag the very rude staff kicked me out
Extremely rude staff, I get they deal with a lot for minimum wage but I was the only person asked to show ID to return my cans.
The employees are very rude! They seem to have a better attitude when a supervisor is around. I will go to other bottle drop locations if possible or give my cans and bottles away to avoid these people!
I prefer other locations. This one also closes 5-10 mins earlier than supposed to. I get wanting to go home on time but some people need those last 10 mins for one bag. 6pm close time doesn't mean 5pm or 5: 45
You don't need ID in OR to vote, but you sure as hell do to return a plastic bottle that you paid a $0.10 deposit on. Today I was told that I could not return the bottles I had bought in OR and paid a deposit upon at this locations 1176 N Hayden Meadows Dr, Portland, OR 97217, because my car has Washington Plates and I do not have Oregon ID. Regardless of the OR law, this location, in fact according to the security guard who intercepted me this time out in parking lot, all of their locations have a policy that in effect amounts to Washington residence are not welcome. They don't want the bottles we buy in OR. Now this is a first since I have been returning bottles there for quite some time now. Bottles that I buy at the Portland Costco. I guess that from this point forward, I will just not buy bottled water in OR at all. If OR won't take the bottles back and refund my deposit, then nuff said. I'd like to be clear that my 1 star rating is based upon the unfriendly, out right discriminatory, and frankly rude policy that this company has against WA residence. Hell, you can't even offer the bottles to Oregon residence as also learned today. When I was told that I could not return the bottles, I offered them to the couple next to me who were in the process of unloading theirs, and was told by the security guard, nope. "We won't accept them. It is also our company policy to not accept bottles given to Oregon residence. " I am not sure how they will make the determination that bottles are not from Oregon, but sure, whatever. It should be noted that this policy is discrimination.
