I went to Brainwave hoping they could help me recover files on my hard drive on my computer that crashed. They did an AMAZING job. They found all the files I was looking for. Their staff is courteous and helpful.

I really like this crew. Highly recommend.
My ThinkPad stopped displaying. Black screen only, though you could tell the machine was trying (I'm very technical, you see). The guys at Brainwave were very straight with me. There were a number of things it could be, but one could be a damaged motherboard. I paid the 50.00 diagnostic fee because I really like this machine.
They quoted a 2 week turn-time on the assessment and got back to me right before that.
Carl informed me that my SSD had gone caput. He would try to get the data from it but couldn't promise anything. Wouldn't charge for trying. Set me up with a Mdot2 drive that is wonderfully fast. I was so happy to not have to go buy another computer that I gladly paid the 140.00 to reinstall Windows even though I could have done that myself (i think). They also waived a service fee for cleaning out the laptop.

I've been building my own gaming PCs since 2008. Like most people I learned via various YouTubers, Reddit threads, and Tom's Hardware forums. In those 14 years, I've only ever had three parts fail and require RMAs. Two of three I figured out via my favorite content creators. This time around, I had run my computer through the gauntlet of tests to no avail.

The dread immediately set in: am I going to have to take my computer to a store and let someone touch my precious rig and potentially make it worse? I searched for hours and found Brainwave. As soon as I walked in I laid out my issue and Carl immediately knew my Mobo/CPU socket types, potential tests to run, and was up-to-date on fail rates of AMD 5000 series CPUs. He ran the needed tests to confirm my 5900x was faulty and needed an RMA. Carl even got the pictures and screenshots I needed from tests to confirm and use for the AMD PIB RMA process.

For any system builders out there in need of knowledgeable staff who have the same passion and dedication for PCs and the like, you'll be more than satisfied using Brainwave Computers.

The staff at BrainWave computers is very friendly and knowledgeable. They quickly found the problem with my laptop and fixed it for a very reasonable price. I will be returning to them for any future problems with my laptop.

Bought a pre-built pc from another company. It was put together so terribly. Like, my first build couldn’t have been that bad. Anyway, brought it to brainwave and they brought the cpu temps down by 30c which is a toooooon. They completely rebuilt the pc in another case informing me each time they changed out a part or added something. Now it runs great, and will have a much longer lifespan. These guys are awesome.

Needed a broken laptop screen fixed. Took a while to get done just because of how busy they were and one of the screen orders being wrong (not their fault), but Carl updated me very regularly on the progress which I really appreciated. He also offered to fix some internal stuff and gave me a really fair price for it. Overall really happy with the result and the laptop is running great now. Carl was very diligent in updating me and explaining everything. Thank you!

After an originally very good experience with BrainWave computers, I had very high praise for this establishment. Then 4 keys on my keyboard broke so I took them in to get fixed. That was in June 2020. It is January 2021 and it is still under repair. They keep ordering the wrong part and/or having shipment delays. Next time I'm gonna send my computer to DELL to get it fixed.

Brainwave computers helped me out today with a tricky install. I have used them before for a monitor and Mac Pro fix. The employees are reliable, knowledgeable, helpful, and patient. This is a high quality business worth investing in when you have a computer question or work. Brainwave thank you for your help today!

I work in IT, but the last thing I want to do on my time off is fix my mom’s computer. What she needed done was fairly straightforward, but without the proper tools, I wouldn’t even want to try fixing her All-in-1 computer on my own. Happy to pay for the convenience of dropping it off, and having someone else do the work. Friendly and conscientious. Made recommendations for hardware upgrades, and prices were reasonable.

So let me start by saying I got super lucky and found a great gpu at retail pricing. Everything was going great with my pc build. And then I tried to install windows 10. Crazy little errors kept popping up and prevented a lot of things from working correctly. I went to this spot and they helped me with all of the little silly questions that would be embarrassing to ask with nothing but support. Ten out of ten this is the place to take your rig. They had me up and running in literally ten minutes. Go to them and get help if you need it or just have questions.

The owner's inference that my report wasn't truthful really crosses the line. My tech-savvy friend who was with me during the conversation with Brainwave's manager remembers the conversation exactly as I stated. He did, however, point out that we were standing on the short side of the L-shaped counter where no sign was posted; perhaps it was posted on the other side of the counter. In any event, the manager never referred to any signage. In addition, two different Brainwave staff tried to sell me a new hard drive which was not needed. The second time this happened, I was told that mine was old and obsolete. I asked how long a hard drive should last and was told 5 to 10 years; I replied that mine was only two years old.

In response to owner's reply: I only received generic emails saying Brainwave was working on my job. And, when I complained about 3% added charge, I looked for and saw no such sign and none was pointed out to me.

Unfortunately, Brainwave staff failed to deliver adequate service or return calls when they said they would do so. After 1 1/2 weeks with my laptop their technician called me with a couple of questions and told me he would have the job finished by the next day. Three days later I called and was told no further work had been done since. I asked to be called back the next business day and was assured that I would be called. No one called, and the same thing happened when I called again two days later. After they had my laptop for 2 1/2 weeks, I called and asked to speak with the manager. He did not take the call (though he was there), and the technician said that no further work had been done in the past week and that he would complete the job that day. He did, and I went to pick up the laptop the next day. When paying I was told that a 3% charge would be added for using a credit card. Since no one had told me that previously and no sign was posted stating this policy, I refused to pay the charge and stated that had I known of the policy I would have brought a check with me. I then spoke with the manager and complained that no further work had been done on my job for a full week and that I had not been told of the extra charge in advance. He agreed to wave that charge if I would not write a poor review of the service I had received. I agreed. But then I saw on my credit card statement that the charge had been added, even though I had a receipt for the agreed upon payment amount. I called my credit card company, and they are crediting me that extra charge. Though the work Brainwave did on my laptop was adequate, the service was very poor.

Brainwave Computers has repaired or upgraded 3 computers for me, and each time the results have been great. Although completion of some work has been delayed by a couple of weeks, Brainwave has been very fair on charges and their work has extended the useful life of our computers by years. I will definitely use them again.

Brought xbox in to get diagnosed said it would be a week and was probably a hdmi port. 50 diagnostic no fix no fee.great deal so I do it. Said it should be about a week turn around. Week goes by.nothing daughter had spilled water on laptop so I take that in. Guy won't listen to my story at all doesn't ask me about specs assumes I know nothing and keeps asking his manager for help who asked him to help me as the manager was with another customer. Finally I find what he can't seem to figure out and tries to tell me it is going to be $800. I say thankyou no. I find someone two days later to swap the mother board for 500 parts included. After calling every week for a month for a update they finally get back to me and say they can't figure it out. Two days later they say it is the hard drive and it is going to cost 300. The guy says he will buy it off me for 50.remember my diagnostic was 50. So they get my xbox for free and I get nothing for my time. I go around the corner to UbreakIfix. 150 parts included and they are upgrading my drive to a 1 terabyte. That's twice I am being quoted for double what others are doing. Sound like a scam? That's how it felt to me.

I msg them before coming here with an inquiry they said they could do it paid the express fee and diagnosis fee just to be told “good luck in your journey” like ok lol I was really excited to go here their pictures show promising stuff but worse experience ever didn’t even fix my issue I could have saved $100 and 2 days of my time by avoiding this place.

These folks are the s&$@t! Explained everything so I could understand.gave me options and my computer is better then before! Pricing was better than fair and these guys are polite, friendly and called me back to follow up on every!

Took my PC into Brainwave to assist with upgrading the motherboard. The new board was already put in and I needed help with reconnecting all of the wiring/power etc. I was told that it should take no longer than 1.5hrs, and since it was already partially assembled it was likely it would take less. 3.5hrs later they told me they had everything wired up but the computer would not POST, it was the end of the business day and it would be 2 days before they could look at it again. I opted to take the PC somewhere else and discovered that the power supply in the computer would not work with the new motherboard as it did not have the proper connectors. Brainwave did not have it connected properly, and it was also suspect that they indicated they were powering it on to troubleshoot but they had not yet attached the CPU heatsink/cooler, which is dangerous to do. All in all I do not intend to return to Brainwave for any future PC needs.

Brain wave computers was great! They communicated the timeframe, cost, and plan well. They kept me updated and were easy to work with. My computer is fixed and faster than before for a reasonable rate. Highly recommend this company.
