Even before I started working for BrightStar Care West Portland, I was impressed by their professionalism and the true care they showed for their clients.
All of their policies and procedures are in place and functioning. The staff in the office are diligent and caring and make sure the experience for the clients and their families are the best they can be.
I have been a nurse in long-term care in this area for many years and have seen the best and the worst there is. BrightStar is the best of the best from what I have seen.
I had interactions with their staff while working in a local Foster Home and they truly bent over backwards for a difficult client and their family. It was a tough situation for all concerned - but BrightStar worked very hard, paid close attention to details and really made it work. The client and family ended up being happy and satisfied.
The Caregivers, CNA's and Nurses are all knowledgeable, intelligent, caring and well-trained.
We pride ourselves on matching our clients with staff that ensures the care is top-notch. We spend a lot of time with new clients to develop Care Plans that fit them to a "T".
As I said earlier, I have worked in this industry for a very long time and BrightStar is one of the best places that I am lucky enough to work for.
I have no problem promoting BrightStar. It's a wonderful answer when you need some extra care and help and it is the best place in the world to work for as well!

I worked with Mary consistently over the past few months and she staffed my facility when I needed her to. She was always helpful and easy to work with. In the office I have dealt mostly with Grace, Brady and Lori, all are very understanding and communicative. Grace has been so patient dealing with a very unpleasant insurance adjuster more times that I would wish on anyone. Lori has gone out of her way to call and check on me and has advocated for me on many occasions. Brady is always willing to listen when I call and makes sure that my needs are addressed as quickly as possible. My caregiver is great and goes above and beyond every day to make sure that I'm ok. I honestly wouldn't be able to get through my days without the care I receive. I appreciate all of the staff at Bright Star and highly recommend them to anyone who needs personal assistance. I appreciate the compassion and dedication that they have shown me as my life has changed.

We nearly signed a contract. But then true colors showed. Unprofessional, sloppy in details, poor communication. Charge for using direct pay. Even accidentally sent me an email meant for an internal person calling me derogatory terms, for asking for clarification. Worse, then tried to deny it. Shady dealings. Run. Run away fast.

Gloria, my BrightStar caregiver, is absolutely amazing. Her professionalism and adaptability make ever day sparkling clean no matter what the day brings. Her sense of humor gets us through some difficult days, in terms of my health. If you need in-home care for light housekeeping, meal preparation, medication measurement, grooming and hygiene, and so forth, call the wonderful staff at BrightStar. BrightStar is by far the best agency I found through personal experience and diligent research.

I like to write a review on my caregiver Shauna Harden. All my family likes her very much. She comes to us with a great attitude and very positive manner how she treats my beloved wife. She is not demanding, she is caring, loving and most of all she does what she needs to do with compassion and care.
I really have to admire her for coming in the morning on time even though she comes from Sandy and we live in Milwaukie. She has to take two buses to arrive at our place and she is always there on time with a great smile. She has to take my wife to dialysis three times a week and even the folks in dialysis has remarked what a great attitude she has. She does what we tell her to do with a great attitude. We had previous care gives who did what they wanted to do and that was a disaster. I hope Brightstar have more employees like her. Thank you for letting her into our life.
