Broder Nord reviews
15Miss this place. Had to look at the pictures because I'm hungry and missed the food. My go to for breakfast. Staff is always so kind.
This place checks all the boxes. I have tried maybe 5-6 different dishes and all have been spectacular. The coffee and espresso drinks are made very well. It's a comfortable place. And the staff is some of the best out there. Shoutout to Jay and Chance! My partner and I love Broder and can't wait to return
If I could give this place a negative score I would. Rude owner, staff. Don’t answer calls, so had to drive there to get food to go and they said they don’t do to go on the weekends, and that it says it on the website (it does not). After calling, driving there, being there, they refused to let me get food to go, never apologized and told me it was 5 min to close so I couldn’t sit down either. I had actually recommended this place to business contacts in the past, never again. Don’t waste your money on this rude place, owner and staff.
Delicious Nordic food in a cozy and interesting space. I've now been to all three of the "Broder" restaurants, all very good, well staffed, and with a good atmosphere.
This place is by far my favourite for brunch in Portland now. I got the Pytt I Panna with trout and the pancakes. Will definitely visit again. Did I mention? The coffee was great!
Food is great, but waiting for 30 min when 2 or 3 tables are empty is just sad, it feels that the time to seat is sometimes fabricated
What a fun restaurant. My mom, sister, neice and I celebrated a ladies day out with some food related to our heritage. I believe anyone could find something to eat here. Delicious.
Broder was so delicious, we went back twice! We had the meatballs and smashed potatoes, pickled herring and gravlax smorrebrod for lunch and the lost eggs and potato pancakes for breakfast. I'd go back again and again if I could! The service is also great and everything's so reasonable for the cost! Nom nom nom
This place is really dirty and gross. Watch your servers to see if they wash their hands, I never saw it happen! The food is A+ here, but they have low standards everywhere else.
Absolutely delicious, well-made food for reasonable price. The portions are generous and the staff is very friendly. The walnut toast is a must try. I tried the brunch and it was impecable. I will definitely eat at Broder Nord again.
Even if the food was terrible (which it most definitely was not), this place gets 5 stars just for the awesome chairs.
Great food but slow af. We got here early on a Sunday when the place was half full, but we didn't get our food for over an hour. Took 25 minutes for them to even take our order. Great place if you enjoy the experience of being confounded about the pace of service. My partner thinks it's a conspiracy to create a line and build buzz. I have less faith in there being a master plan. Great interior design.
Amazing amazing amazing food. I loved the smoked trout in baked eggs, and the meatballs were fantastic too. The peach bellini is great, not super sweet, obviously made with real fresh peaches.
As with nearly everywhere there was a wait, but the staff moved quickly. The food was incredible and the service was very attentive. It is a place I would happily recommend if you're looking for a small, quiet place with great food and drinks.
A wonderful, tiny establishment with great food. The portions are right-sized: not too big but larger than the might seem. The full bar has a nice selection of unique cocktails reflecting the Nordic theme. I especially liked the Dutchman's Milk; both iced and hot. Their coffee is also fantastic and is served with warmed milk (excellent idea).
A special thank you to J for the bright and friendly bar service!
