Buddy's Diner reviews
21Awesome diner, the food was amazing! Even if there was quite a bit of people they were actually very fast to get us seated. If your traveling and need a breakfast/lunch stop, this is definitely just for you
What a great little diner! They have salt and pepper grinders and real coffee mugs. Nice! Wife ordered omelette which was excellent. Potatoes were cooked perfect with just enough seasoning. I had the biscuits with sausage and gravy. So good! Biscuit was nice, flaky and soft! Gravy was perfect consistency and so tasty! Coffee was good too!
Service was excellent! We will be back for sure when traveling through Eugene.
When I first walked in, it was a comfortable vibe. Table for 9. Ample amount of good food, friendly wait staff. When I asked for the Lewis and Martin, and then said, oops wrong set. She smiled and laughed. I knew then, that this place IS something special. Buddy's did not disappoint.
Your basic breakfast diner food all around, nothing special besides the decorations. Ordered take out and realized we had no silverware when we left. Hard to eat biscuits and gravy with your hands. Probably try something else plus they were super busy.
My mom took me there during a recent visit before dropping me off at the airport to head back to Chicago. I got the stuffed french toast and it was absolute heaven. The only thing that topped the delicious breakfast was the awesome waitress, who was so attentive, had a great attitude, and was super funny. I highly recommend this awesome little diner if you're in the Eugene area. I left a card, too (Polaris Martial Arts in Frankfort, IL). Haha!
I visited Buddy’s for the first time this summer and it was an absolutely adorable place with very nice, friendly attentive staff and delicious food. An old fashioned local family diner! Will definitely return.
My wife and I ate there this morning. We were super impressed with the food and service. We were greeted as we walked in, were allowed to sit where we wanted and provided menu's immediately. The waitress was very friendly. She took our order as soon as we were ready and the food was out in no time. Very tasty food and large quantities. My only criticism, make stronger coffee. We will go there again.
Love this place! If you're visiting or just looking for a good breakfast/brunch restaurant, I definitely recommend this one! Friendly staff, great choices of food in the menu, and the atmosphere, you will just love the vibe and enjoy the food.
Buddy's Diner is a treasure, a little diner, with a 50's theme in Eugene Oregon on Coburg Rd. The service is fast, friendly, and cordial.
The food is great, and made to order. They make there owen biscuits and a cinnamon sourdough bread they use for their French toast, and for Father's day they are baking banana bread to use for their French toast. They serve breakfast and lunch, and due to the COVD-19 situation they close at 14: 00 hrs, opening at 07: 00 hrs. All in all a fantastic blast from the past, I highly recommend it.
Absolutely love this spot for breakfast. We make a point to stop in any time we are in the area. The biscuits are huge and delicious. Fun, creative Diner menu. Great vibes and service is always pleasant and fast.
Best breakfast I’ve had since began working in Eugene about a month ago and I eat most meals out. I had French toast and scrambled eggs and it was delicious. It’s a nice little diner too, clean. The staff are friendly and good at customer service.
I would give this place six stars if I could. Five stars for five reasons: food/menu, friendly, clean, location, atmosphere! Live ALOHA, attitude, food or menu met our expectations. Inside dining. The patio is clean and available in good weather. I ordered a daily special found on their Facebook page. Check them out. Buddy's Diner is worth the experience. Enjoy! Service was taken seriously and food was supreme.
Kindness and genuine care from a busy wait staff is so, so appreciated! The food came very fast for a packed house plus some to-go orders. Tasted great - hard to beat a truly homemade biscuit. All around great experience for our family of 7 this morning!
Old school diner with delicious, home cooked breakfast. Large servings, quick service with a smile, you leave full but excited to return!
We arrived around 10: 30 AM and out our name on the wait list but writing our name and party size on a spiral notebook, right inside the door. A small waiting area, be sure to stick around to hear your name called!
With fun 50’s decor, this vintage diner provides an old school experience in a town full of eclectic, new hip spots. A gem in Eugene - check it out if you’re looking for a hearty breakfast and local vibes. Hope to see you there!
The only place where my wife will actually order a hamburger. I must agree with her. I had the "Bonanza Burger" made with the best barbecue sauce that I have ever tasted. I do miss the "Fish N' Chips" being on the menu, but was told to call ahead on fridays because sometimes they add it back on the menu. Thanks for everything.
This morning (1/5/2022) was my first visit to Buddy's, and boy oh boy, was it awesome in every way possible! Wow!
I had a friend visiting from out of state and we went to breakfast together before he had to fly back home. I had researched recommended breakfast places in Eugene and found Buddy's. I felt like it was a perfect choice. It sure turned out to be!
Super fun classic old diner atmosphere and the fun was only just beginning when we walked in.
Stephanie came right over to us after we sat down and was funny as heck from the get-go. Her energy and genuine personality were amazing beyond words! She chatted with us about The Simpsons and Springfield and was very engaged with my friend when I mentioned where he was originally from and where he lives now and what he does for a career. She wished him safe travels before we left and said that she would see him next time he was in town and that I better come back soon. Haha. She was and is a 100/10! Truly!
Thank you, Stephanie, and Buddy's for now being my go-to place for breakfast when I go out. I don't go out to breakfast often, but this will be the place when I do.
My lady, daughter and I. Went in to the restaurant about 2 weeks ago. There was a younger man there I wish I had got his name to call him out individually. Brown hair bout 6 foot or so. Literally the best waiter I’ve ever had. Top of the menu and orders asked all the right questions. The food was great as always but this guy made it that much better. If this guy has this type of work ethic I’d either pay him more or promote him or both. You don’t wanna lose a guy like that let me tell you good worker are hard to find but the great ones are usually a aberration.
After dropping family off at the airport, my husband and I decided to grab breakfast while we waited for Bowtech to open. Not being familiar with Eugene restaurants, I read a lot of reviews. I had it narrowed down to three different diners and ended up just picking the closest one, Buddy's. My husband ordered corned beef, eggs, and hash browns. I ordered the special, country fried steak with peppers, onions, sausage gravy, over easy eggs and hash browns. The portions were HUGE. The country fried steak was THE BEST I have ever had. Perfectly seasoned, tender, delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. The diners atmosphere is lively and fun. It was a great experience and I cannot say enough about how good the food was!
Finally my family has found an amazing breakfast place in Eugene! Today our 2 girls, 8 and 3, were greeted with stuff animals to take home! Shortly after a gentleman dressed as Santa come to the table and shortly before the waitress secretly asked for their names. Amazing way to start off our Saturday with 7 days left until Christmas!
Came hefe for the first time ever yesterday. Was so good had to come back again today. Was NOT disappointed. Even better if possible. Biscuits and gravy are best I've had, pancakes are amazing, eggs fluffy, and had the special Maple Bacon French toast. AMAZING ON ALL ENDS.and not to be not mentioned but 4 different people taking care of us at some point in the last 2 days and all 4 were top notch servers (from someone in the service industry for 25 years). This place is so amazing on all ends. Best breakfast place in town! Cant wait to try their lunch items.
