Restaurant Burmese Delight reviews
13As a Burmese myself, this place brings me to home. Authentic flavour, warm loving owner/chef and entire place just make me comeback every week all the way from Vancouver. Please try our national dish tea leaf salad and Moant Hinn Khar during these cold weather and you will feel the warmth from your heart.
Perfectly cooked chicken and beef. The rice is so tasty as well. Shan soup is delicious. One of my favorite carts in the area. Thank you.
Nothing special. Not sure if food supposed to be this bland. Small portions. Once was enough. One lady was not friendly at all.
Visited the food cart on 9/23/23. Had never tried a Burmese dish before. Ordered the Chicken and Potato Curry. This was as good a meal as I have ever had. Absolutely delicious. If you are in the area and are looking for something different to try, I highly recommend visiting Burmese Delight.
This place has amazing food. My go to is the Shan Noodle Salad. Great flavors and portion size. I highly recommend this place!
Love this place! Every time I come to the Asylum, I always head straight for Burmese Delight and get a banana cake and tea. It's no exaggeration to say their tea is the best I've ever had, and that their banana cake is possibly the most delicious thing I've ever tasted, period! All their other offerings are delicious, too (I haven't met a menu item there I haven't loved), but definitely give those a try.
And on top of the great food, there's excellent, friendly service! I don't think any cart (or restaurant) has ever made me feel as welcome.
Excellent vegan food! Try the chickpea tofu salad and the vegan samosas! Highly recommended!
Love love love this place. The flavors are great, always fresh, its always quick, crispy perfect fries! The eggplant qrap is usually my go to and it never disappoints. Pictured is the chicken because I felt like switching it up and it's also delicious! Also the owner is a sweetie!
Burmese Delight in the Asylum food cart pods serves authentic Burmese food. The Shan Noodle soup was great, lots of noodles with tasty chunks of chicken, and broth that was fantastic. Food was served quickly, even being dinner time, and quite busy.
As a Burmese person, when I’m in the mood for tasty Burmese food in Portland this is the place that most often comes to mind! Good food, good folk, makes me nostalgic for the flavors of Yangon. Yum!
Not huge on writing reviews or anything but the elder running the cart told me to leave a review I liked the green tea leaf salad roll and I said I would.when I went to Burma I ate tea leaf salad pretty religiously and LOVED it. I love this take on the classic and it is just so delicious.also a good food pod vibe in general.would eat all the time:)
Amazing food amazing service the woman that works the cart is always so sweet and the food is always delicious.
Came to the food carts and grabbed dinner at Burmese Delight. 5 out of 5 stars. Great food and the best service.
