C H Bailey House reviews
14 Absolutely exceptional!
Great accommodations, great grounds and surroundings, great people. Very well equipped plus a few very nice surprises!
Homely, cozy and peaceful bed and breakfast. Sherry is an excellent host with meticulous attention to detail (trust me, she knows what she’s doing). We enjoyed the breakfast, fresh fruits and the complementary wine. Was definitely worth it and strongly recommend Bailey House. We’ll definitely go back again when exploring Umpqua river and near by areas.
This was the first time my husband and I ever stayed at a Bed and Breakfast. This exceeded all our expectations and then some. I can say without a doubt that this gem will be on our list of places to stay again if only to just spend more time at this lovely home.
The amazing grounds we drove up to was what sold me. Especially being in the horticulture business for over 27 years. The grounds were just breathtaking. Then the beautiful and historic home just welcomes you in every way. From the front porch swing to the delightful seating areas throughout the front porch and back patio areas. You have no shortage of cozy and intimate sitting areas.
Then you enter the house that just makes you feel like you stepped back into time with all the amenities you can imagine. From the walk in shower to the fireplace in the living room and full kitchen. It was just all a dream come true for us.
We loved the privacy we were afforded with the delicious breakfast prepared and waiting for us in the refrigerator. Fresh orange juice, milk, oatmeal, desert and A local wine all placed in our home away from home for us.
My husband especially loved the keg he was directed to in the barn that I fell in love with. I could have slept in there and been happy.
We can not wait until we return.
The property itself is fairly small, but you feel like you have the world to yourself when you’re here. The staff are great and the facilities offer plenty of delightful surprises. Great place for a wedding if your guest list fits the venue.
Beautiful area, friendly host, with complementary wine, beer, and breakfast. Having the Hot tub, courtyard and other amenities to ourself is an added bonus! Highly recommend - Don’t miss out on this hidden gem in Umpqua Valley!
Great place to stay:) stayed one night this past weekend and wished we had more nights there. They make you feel at home. Looking forward to coming back. They are also covid cautious which was a plus next time we would love to visit more wineries which the owner said she would help recommend places -
When considering everything: location at the mouth of the North Umpqua River Recreation Area, cleanliness, beauty, serenity, room, and breakfast quality, it just doesn't get any better. A jewel hidden in the hills east of Roseburg on the way to Crater Lake. No better place to stay.
I meant to review this fantastic place when we stayed in 2014. It was a magical place then and the best bed and breakfast we have ever visited. Such care was hard to forget-from the flowers and the barn to the delicious breakfasts. I couldn't think of one thing that could have been improved upon. Absolutely perfect. If you get a chance, visit this wonderful place managed by equally wonderful people (I suspect:)
This was the best B&B I have ever stayed at! We loved it! Sherry is the best hostess! So relaxing!
Very good accommodations and great scenery for weddings. Everything from catering and food prep area, outdoor games, very neat indoor venue (old fashioned barn with white washed interior and string lighting) and farm yard atmosphere outside. Only issue was the one bathroom inside and realistic outhouse behind the barn and bochi ball courts. It was doable tho. Very nice wedding in the end!
The owners went out of their way to make every little detail perfect. From the homemade organic vegetarian breakfast, to the luxurious bed linens, the accommodations were spectacular. They were personable, genuine and extremely helpful. I wished I had mire time there to relax even more. I will definitely be back and had already told all my friends about it. Thank you!
My friend and I stayed at the C. H. Bailey House in the Brenner Suite for the weekend, and it was amazing! Sherry gave us a warm welcome, and was a gracious host for our entire stay. The suite itself has lovely decor, and the back area is a beautiful space to enjoy. We stayed on-site for the entire weekend, and loved playing bocce, relaxing in the floral garden, and using the hot tub. We both loved the food provided (organic tomatoes, strawberries and raspberries, all from their garden) ; I especially appreciated that Sherry provided vegetarian breakfasts for us, which were delicious. I would highly recommend staying here, and hope to be returning for another weekend getaway or longer vacation in the future!
We have to share the experience we had staying at the CH Bailey House with Sherry.it was amazing! She met us upon check in, showed us the "Brenner Suite cottage" that was absolutely perfect! Fresh cut flowers in each room, fresh baked goods and all of our specially prepared breakfast items were ready for our weekend. And a delicious bottle of wine from a local winery. Sherry gave us great recommendations for dinner options and wineries to explore along with the best routes for a nice walk in the country! It was an amazing stay! The kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room had everything we could need or want available. We would love to visit again!
