Restaurant Cafe Brarlin reviews
20 Absolutely delicious sandwiches, salads and soups. Excellent for a eat in or take out lunch.
Alice's bread is my favorite in town and she also makes incredible cookies.
They've also got good coffee but their chai tea will warm your soul.
Do yourself a favor and go check them out!
The art and atmosphere drew me in and made me feel welcome. The owners were great at explaining the ingredients and options. The soup of the day was scrumptious, and the homemade bread really elevated the turkey lurkey sandwich. I'll be back.
Delicious food, reasonably priced and locally sourced! They've done a great job with the atmosphere- seating inside and outside. I'll definitely be coming back.
Amazing service, great atmosohere, and the best homemade pastries. I will be a regular for sure!
It is a treat that Independence has Cafe Brarlin! I'm sitting here now munching on an amazing blue corn cookie that is absolutely delighting my taste buds.
This is my go-to lunch spot in town. I regularly have eaten here over the past several months. The owners are fantastic and very accommodating. I would keep coming back just because of the friendliness and how comfy I feel in their cafe, but the food tops it all!
Every time I eat there I alway feel like the food is doing more than just feeding me. I feel like a better person. I guess their secret isn't so secret: food made with good quality ingredients and crafted with care. I don't often eat sweets, but I am now in the habit of picking up a sweet treat to go because of their delicious pastries and cookies.
On top of all that, their house made chai is phenomenal either warm or over ice.
If you are looking for a restaurant that consistently leaves you feeling better than when you enter, this is the place to go.
Great food! Inside is kind of small but they have some nice patio tables on the outside. The food is fresh, tasty and homemade. Owners are really nice overall a great addition to the area. Food is healthy clean eating!
Delicious food, great service and an emphasis on sourcing locally. We are so lucky to have this lovely cafe in our community!
This place is exactly what Independence has been missing! Wonderful owners, great food/coffee, and beautiful artwork (by the owner).
This restaurant is exactly what I hope for from a small independent cafe. Homemade bread, desserts, chai, locally roasted coffee, incredible food with the chefs own twist on flavors but still classically good. I’ve had the cookies, chai, sandwiches and salad at cafe Brarlin. Everything I’ve tried is delicious. Sauces
/dressings are homemade, too! The service is great, and the owners have obviously worked hard to renovate the space and make it clean, inviting, and cute all at once. Highly recommended.
I really love the food and atmosphere at this little cafe, it is owner operated and it shows by the care they take in their business. The food is fresh made and locally sourced, portion sizes are great, I’m always full when I leave, the location is right on Main St with nice indoor and outdoor seating, you’ll get a great value for the quality of healthy/delicious choices, 10/10.
Went there earlier today with my friends and there was absolutely no hospitality, customer service was incredibly poor the host was not very welcoming, my silverware was placed straight down on the table and my food was quite unpleasant.props for wanting to open a restaurant but i would highly not recommend going here there’s pretty much no options to choose from and it’s ridiculously priced for what they serve
Enjoying a Banh MI with delicious baked tofu and slaw on a sunny day, seated on the porch with a dear friend couldn't have made for a better lunch.
Their house made chai is really good! I’m gluten free and I had a really good salad, and they also have GF bakery items.
Not worth it, me and my partner and our friend went this afternoon and it was very exciting for us, when we entered we had to sit with the menu at the counter and pay before eating, this made us feel very awkward and not welcoming at all, once we sat down the vibe was just awkward and quite, it took almost 20 minutes to get two sandwiches no sides and avocado toast, this which we paid $35 for. Once our food finally arrived the food was not worth the money, we could have made better sandwiches at home the avocado toast was also not even close to hitting the bar it was bland and the toast was soggy, all and all the place was awkward and not comfortable at all the food was not good and overall a disappointment. As a local I would expect better from a local business. Wasted my time and my money here
Such a great place. I don’t think I’ve ever had fresher food anywhere. This place is a local gem.
Had a Sunday breakfast at Cafe Brarlin and it was delicious! Meat, vegetarian, and gluten free options. They use local farm ingredients and everything was flavorful and fresh. Service was great. We’ll be back soon!
We love their Nutella hazelnut cookies! It has already become our weekly ritual because they’re that good! I also tried their existential sandwich, super yummy on their homemade ciabatta. The owners are super nice too.
The food was fabulous. The venue was delightful. I can’t wait to see the finished space. We’ll be there again tomorrow!
The food is as fresh and delicious as it looks! The sandwich, the cookie, the artwork, and the craftsmanship are all works of art.
The service is top notch and super friendly. I have some horrendous food sensitivities, and they accommodated all of them. Thank you!
I love what they did with this beautiful building that was begging to be pretty as it once was.
I will be back again and again!
We throughly enjoyed our lunch time meals at the newly opened Cafe Brarlin on Main Street in the sweet town of Independence, Oregon. We tried several offerings of their tasty vegetarian salads and sandwiches, as well as their organic meat choices. All are served with delicious wholesome in house baked breads. They have gluten free & vegan menu options available, as well as the choice of serving their unique salads in a wrap. They serve local farm veggies and bake with locally sourced Camas Country Mill flour. I appreciate their healthy slaw and in house crafted dressings. Their house made chai is a hit for me with the perfect spicing and lightly sweetened. We were able to buy a loaf of country bread and a few different delectable cookies to take on the road with us, which was definitely a treat! Dining inside the bright & inviting cafe is delightful, with an accommodating and friendly chef and staff. The wrap around covered deck is also a wonderful option to access. Enjoying Brarlin’s satisfying food & beverages, while taking in the view from the deck, watching the birds or the trolley go by with people coming and going, all add up to a fulfilling experience that we will look forward to again.
