Canby Community (River) Park reviews
14A wonderful place from my childhood. Complete with river access, kids playground, Boy Scout lodge, fishing pond (16 and under), ducks, geese, squirrels, and more!
It's not a big park, nor does it have any "epic" features. But it is a pleasant little place to go with a fishing pond along the Mololla River and with picnic areas and walking trails. There are always plenty of ducks and squirrels and other wildlife to enjoy. It makes for a nice relaxing break from the daily grind.
Nice pond next to the river. Huge grass area, fields, picnic areas, and playground for little ones.
Cool place but avoid at night or morning. Sketchy people come here. My mom got yelled at and chased by some sketchy lady for just smiling.
A usually quiet place on the Molalla River for families, individuals and outdoor parties. Play area, picnic tables, benches, rough baseball field, pond with many ducks and nutria with fishing allowed as well as beautiful scenery. Some small amounts of trash but generally well kept up and patrolled occasionally by police.
A neat, local community park where you can cool off in the river and float a quarter mile - for free! Also take your picnic, build your own rock pool, play in the playground, and grill a bbq
It's a nice park to stop for lunch at. The river runs beside it and there's a pond to fish in. Keep your dogs on a leash though. No one likes an unruly pup. Had a lady running behind her dog as it came up aggressively at me, she was yelling, "incoming, friendly! " Not so friendly. But they enjoyed the river also!
Great place
Very nice place to come cool off in this heat there are lots of rocks so bring water proof shoes haven’t explored all the park but so far it’s nice and beautiful
I love biking to this place! It is quiet and the river is amazing! It can be quite peaceful and relaxing to experience the birds in the trees and the calm quite sounds of the flowing water!
Beautiful non-fee park along the Molalla River, with shade trees, picnic shelter, lots of green grass. It also has a creek fed pond area, with quite a few colorful Mallard duck swimming in the pond.
I had some time to kill while my dog was being groomed so I grabbed something to eat and it so happened the park was right there.
The entrance is cool because you drop into the park! Then you can see the river that runs along one side, with life jackets available to visitors.
I saw a very clean and expansive grounds. Picnic areas with BBQ and fields for different sports activities. People were walking and playing with their dogs. A Boy Scout rec building on site, with private homes butted up to it.
I felt safe at that time of the day but can imagine it would be a little spooky after dark.
I would definitely take my family there for a reunion or a simple lunch with a friend.
Beautiful place with ducks, squirrels and other wildlife. Playground, benches, picnic tables, covered area and plenty of room.
Loved the hometown feel and access to the water for fishing. The grounds are well kept with lots of room on a quiet day.
Nice park along river. Has covered area for BBQ. Lots of people walk around drive area. Pond for veterans fishing. Pond has ducks in it. Close to KFC, DOLLAR STORE. Have LIFEJACKETS available during summer for people that get in river.
