Canopy Corner reviews
16Did I buy anything no, why? Because these folks were so awesome and helped me out with parts I already had. Great advice and so kind. Would recommend to everyone
Excellent sales and service staff. They did a great job assisting me in finding a top notch A. R. E.canopy that compliments my new truck. Upon finding a few small factory defects they were very accommodating in setting an appointment and taking care of things in house. I work in sales and service and was impressed. I will be referring all of my customers to Bob and Lee at Canopy Corner! Thank you!
I haven't had the best customer service with Canopy Corner. I called to submit an order for a rear door and they took down my info. I called a week later and they never submitted the order. I called a week after that, and they still didn't submit an order.
I called a week after and they seemed annoyed that I was checking up on my order. They did place an order, but when I called to check up on it, there was no information and it appeared that it was an inconvenience that I was asking.
If I didn't have to use them, I wouldn't.
I’m in the market for a no frills truck camper shell so of course I decide to pop into a place that I’ve driven by hundreds of times over the years. I chatted with a wonderfully patient and kind employee in the office. She told me about a line of toppers that are made here in the Pacific NW and that the price would be about 1/3 of the estimate I just received down the road at another establishment. She showed me one of the shells in their lot and I was sold. I really appreciate Pamela’s patience and zero pressure. I’m excitedly awaiting the arrival of the new top next month. Thanks Canopy Corner! I appreciate no nonsense businesses with staff that listens and actually wants to help.
Unfortunately we had a terrible experience with Canopy Corner. They installed our canopy incorrectly, did not know how to put in our drawer, and the seals leak because of poor installation. They’re very difficult to get ahold of and not worth your time or money. It took 6 months of dealing with them for us to finally get it all done. (After all of that, it still leaks.)
Great experience, very satisfied. Bob and Dave were the ones who did my install. Both guys are professional and friendly, and answered all questions I had.
Canopy was off center by over an inch. I could fit 2 fingers vertically between the side of the canopy and the bed. Had to wait several days (for their install guy) to get my Topper Lift installed. Then he absolutely butchered the install, there was blood all over the side of my truck, inner rear finder was half turndown and just left to rub the tire. There is just SO MANY things wrong, that over a year later I am still finding things that need fixing. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GO ANYWHERE ELSE!
We bought a nice one. Good service and price. Also not bad lead time maybe only rwo months
Great to work with. Very knowledgeable and have been serving Portland area since 1978 I think they said.
GOOD FOR CANOPIES BUT DON'T GO FOR DRAWER SYSTEMS
We have bought two canopies from them and a drawer system for one. The first time was a great experience. They got our canopy in decent time and installed it all along the way they were nice and courteous.
The second time didn't go as well. If you are in the market for a canopy right now you know it takes a while for the canopy to be delivered. I didn't have a problem with how long it took; we ordered in October and didn't get it till April. My problem is when it arrived I wasn't called or informed that it arrive. I had to call several times to get any information on the canopy. I understand they are busy and that was fine.
When we finally got the canopy and drawer system, Decked, installed I was excited. I had researched the drawer system and was sure I knew what I was getting. First I was told it wasn't going to need to be drilled into the bed; it was. Second the drawers didn't come out as far as I expected. I talked to the installers and owners and was ensured that this is how they were suppose to be. So, I let it go at that moment and decided to contact Decked; the company that made the drawers. Over the course of two emails the employee at decked was able to walk me through what they did wrong and how to fix it.
I returned a call to Canopy Corner explaining to them how it was improperly installed. They offered me a spot that weekend to get it fixed. Upon arrival I was treated as an annoyance. The installers were being standoffish and indifferent. They looked at me approached the vehicle looked and the drawers and just said looks fine to me what are you here for. I calmly went on to explain and show how it was improperly installed and that the drawers should come out further. I even showed them where on the system where it had been stamped passenger and driver side and they were obviously in the wrong place. They scuffed and went on their way to fix it. Throughout the process it was sort of hard to watch; they were unnecessarily rough. Once completed they gave me the keys and let me go. I NEVER got one APOLOGY! They did right by me by fixing it but with their attitude paired with no apology I am now unfortunately unhappy with this business.
I have no doubt that you would have a good experience with them installing a canopy but don't do a drawer system.
The price is right, service, well.it's a small business, they try their best, I guess. I don't recommend making an appointment on Friday when their office lady is off. ;) The guy was clearly overwhelmed and trying his best to keep everyone happy. I made my appointment a month in advance, showed up early and they didn't start on my job until over an hour after my scheduled appointment start time. Stuff happens. They replaced the entire ARE frameless window in my canopy and it's fit was about 1/8th inch forward compared to the other side (the contour is off, so it kind of matters, if not just cosmetically), but when I asked about this he sprayed it with a hose from the top, and told me the seal only allows for so much fit/room. I only have a small leak now which is better than before, I'll watch and take back if it continues or gets worse.
I love our new canopy. It will be a joy to have our dog in the back in his kennel instead of the back seat of our truck.
Great customer service. Came here for a reseal after I had some leak problems on a new canopy and NW Trucks was incredibly unhelpful. The guys on a few occasions have helped to seal up the leaks and has been a much better experience overall. You actually get treated like a person rather than another sales transaction. Highly recommend.
Stopped in unannounced about possible hatch repair. Defunct brand canopy. They took time to look and evaluate my repair needs. Told me what they could do, and what they had on hand to do it. Only had to set appointment and prepay for parts and labor. Will be done this week at a certain time! Great price for me! Very pleased so far. Nice people. Will add more after work done.
The guy in the office has zero people and communication skills. I tried over the phone and in person he was an a**h*** both times. I am taking my business elsewhere.
Excellent service from start to finish. Did a lot of research prior to buying a new canopy. These guys were extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and beat everybody in price easily. Installation was painless and easy and they even work Saturdays. Couldn't be happier with the decision to buy here.
