Great views of two coves. One to the north has lots of nesting birds, and the one to the south has expansive beach.

The Cape Meares lighthouse, with its small gift shop, is reached by a short trail from the lower parking area. There is a broad, paved trail straight to the lighthouse with a moderate slope, as well as a slightly steeper unpaved (as I recall) trail around the southern edge of the promontory. Together they make a pleasant loop to the lighthouse. The lighthouse itself is relatively short because it sits high on its promontory, and any greater elevation could hide the light in coastal low clouds. Guided tours provide access to the light tower and the first order Fresnel lens. Despite vandalism in the 1960s and again in 2010, the lens is still a marvelous sight.

Beautiful lighthouse. Easy to follow path down to the lighthouse. Beautiful views. Lovely interior and small gift shop. Free tour. Informative tour which was interesting to learn it’s history and mechanics of how it operated.
Gorgeous view outside and inside. Restrooms available near parking lot. Wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

Pretty plain but some nice views. Did not go to top of the lighthouse, I think you have to sign up for a tour. It was very small.

One of my current favourite spots on Oregon coast. The place is well maintained and there are seats on the view points where you can just sit and chill. The trees along the way makes it look prettier. All the view points are amazing. Ample parking space available. Carry quarters with you to get closer view of this beauty on coast through the lens!

This was finally a beautiful, small lighthouse that we were able to walk straight up to. You can walk very close to to the top and all the way up to the building on the lower level. It has some gorgeous views.

Really beautiful view! Bring a few quarters so you can use the binocular viewers at two different points!

Easy walk down from the parking lot. Great views. There are a few stationary coin-operated binoculars so bring some quarters.

Its a very small walk downhill (about 0.2 miles max) from the parking lot to the light house. The lighthouse itself is small, but the views of the ocean is pretty from there. After you walk back up to the Parking lot, you can also visit the Octopus tree with a 0.1 mile walk. Honestly this was a little underwhelming. There are restrooms close to the parking lot.

Small lighthouse. No park rangers or tours like some of the others along the coast. Very short visit. Seeing the octopus tree was interesting as well.

Beautiful little park area. Easy walk, lots of shade. ONLY ACCESSIBLE FROM SOUTH 131 / BAYSHORE DRIVE - you can not reach from the north, which is the direction maps told us to go. I submitted a road closure to g-maps. Anyway, very cool. Lighthouse closed at 4pm day we visited and just missed that thanks to Google directions

Tour of the lighthouse was pretty interesting. Watched Peregrine Falcons. Great meeting birds cliffs to the north.

Gorgeous cliffside views of the Pacific greet you on both sides of the forested path as you make your way down towards the Cape Meares Lighthouse, situated on a small bluff overlooking the ocean. We'd arrived to late to visit the gift shop, but we couldn't have asked for better weather, or better a better panorama.

Getting to the park itself was a bit of a chore, as the northern road around the cape from Tillamook was closed, meaning we had to approach from Netarts in the south, so if your Waze or maps isn't sure how to get there (ours said no routes were available, which was only half true), try the other way 'round.

Great place to see the greatness of Oregon nature. Cliffs, rocks, birds, Octopus tree and the ocean waves are making a beautiful picture.
This place has restroom and many different nice views. We visit this place in summer, it is a little cold, take jacket with you.
* It is better save the offline map; we faced issues with getting back to the road (network shortage).

Very cozy & nice place to enjoy costal from highland. Though not much to look around but just majestic scenery view is worth it. Just don’t follow GPS route alone. You will miss costal drive.
