Capitol Hill Motel reviews
15Highly recommend! Super comfortable, super clean. They had everything we needed. Plenty of restaurants nearby (like, within walking), a nice little coffee shack, and a grocery just down the road. The family that owns the hotel were super friendly. They told us it has been a family owned business for 44 years! You can tell they care about their business by how well they take care of everything. I can't say enough good things about Capitol Hill!
I was shocked this place was so nice for the price (that should be a tee shirt). Little loud as its close to the road.the king suite i reserved was amazing.newly renovated and clean. Bed was 7/10.tv was great.tons of channels.all and all a great place!
Clean, a little high priced, but given Covid 19, housekeepers hard to come by, explained to me by owner, and "heat wave, " we experienced, good airconditioning!
Safe clean and the front office was very friendly. Excellent house keeper! They are a little too specific with the rules on guests, however, I couldn’t have my 80 year old grandfather get up to the office easily, or other family. So I suggest you be willing to accommodate special requests. The housekeeper is so sweet and very good at her job! I came back one day and everything top to bottom was cleaned and fresh towels to boot! Worth every penny! Thank you so much to the owners of this place! I’m on a strict budget coming back to portland and wasn’t sure what I was going to do. I almost had to sleep in my car after losing everything to Covid. Now I had a much better start thanks to the capital motel I am on my way to a better self esteem while job hunting! Thanks for helping me!
Clean rooms, uncomfortable bed, creepy management using their cameras all over. They actually charge you $200 deposit (not a hold, but a charge) and take two days to return it. No wonder there are always vacancy.
A very good place to stay at. The WiFi is extremely good. Also the closeness of a gas station and 7 Eleven nearby are also very convenient.
However, with that being stated, the floors in the bathroom are slippery when wet.
Cute little place to feel safe while hubby has open heart surgery and recovers at OHSU. Close to friends, stores and food.
Very friendly and caring staff. They checked with us about my husband regularly. Very flexible as our schedule changed and changed.
Knowledable about all the places we asked about.
They were very nice and accommodating.
We'll be back!
Thank you Capitol Hill Motel!
I was surprised at the quality of rooms available at this location. The property has been owned by the same family for like 50 years. Most of the units are separated from the neighboring unit by a garage. Which I love cuz I hate hearing the neighbors TV in the middle of the night. It's really close to downtown and Barbur Boulevard sees very little traffic at night. I highly recommend getting a room here if you have the opportunity.
Surprisingly quiet, yet this room is small and with only one small window, seems very dark. Lots of steps in such a small area.
Sparkling clean and exactly as advertised. Friendly too. Well maintained inside and out. Ample parking.
The staff is efficient and friendly. The room was very clean. The heater was little loud. Otherwise, I would give five stars.
Very good service competetive price clean large room. Only one gripe is the noise level from HWY.
My daughter and I were here for a medical appointment nearby. The motel was very vintage and cute, clean and recently updated with paint and furnishings, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The only downsides were the street noise and the deposit. (Though the deposit was refunded promptly upon checkout, if I hadn't had the money in my account to support it, I would have been in trouble.)
Friendly guy at check in. I believe he was the owner. Room was really clean. Let me emphasize that. It was Mr. Clean clean! Spending 2 nights here while I explore Portland. If I come this way again I’ll most definitely stay here again.
