Store Cargo reviews
18Super eclectic place with all kinds of random nicnacks and international inspired products. Great place for home decor or gifts for others. Worth a pop in for sure!
Had an unsettling experience as I was asked to leave due to the employees feeling uncomfortable by my being there. This came to a shock to me as I was just going back and forth trying to decide on which of the various items I wanted to commit to buying as there are a lot of options and taking a few photos to consult with my partner about. I don’t believe myself to be causing a disturbance or inhibiting any of the other patrons from shopping. I am no stranger to being discriminated but when it happens in Portland at Cargo, it’s like dam do they group me in with the homeless and those in need of institutional help and just shoo me away. Anyway I’m glad I didn’t spend any money there and I will inform others of my experience.
What a fun and fascinating place! They have an awesome assortment of goods from all around the world, as well as items from local craftspeople. Friendly and helpful staff. Always fun to visit and shop here!
FOUND! A magical place of curiosities and an international delight! I can never leave without buying something special. Everything is special here. EVERYTHING! I love letting myself get lost here. ~ Alice in Wonderland
I was blown away. An absolute festival of colors, textures, fabrics and decorative “objects of art”. I walked in here and ended up spending at least half an hour browsing. And I intend to go back and buy a Mr. Rogers coffee cup for myself. This place is just plain fun. I was laughing and smiling. Staff are friendly and outgoing. Highly recommended. I took a ton of pictures, be sure to check them out.
Over priced version of Anthropology combined with World Market. No, not interested in used Indian police uniforms for $48. I see what they were going for here but it felt cliche and trying too hard. I'm sure lots of people would love it, but not me
Those with no will power beware. This place will suck you and your wallet dry, in a good way. Every corner enchants you with something to capture your fancy. Don’t forget to head downstairs for the furniture and stone Buddhas.
Super cute store with very friendly staff! Found a couple cute things to buy and plan on coming back for some decor.
Huge decaying warehouse of odd collectibles, clothing, furniture, and curiosities from around the world. Coolest party hats in pdx. Clothing, plants, books. Guaranteed to have something you want to buy.
So many nooks and crannies to discover, especially after a weekend brunch. Love the way items for sale are laid out so artistically. It feels like an invitation to explore; you just want to buy 1 of everything in here. A super unique place to shop. What a blast!
The most magical place in the world! I always find some really cool treasure. Until the world is safe for travel this will be our getaway!
Amazing, clean, proper, great information, front desk is bilingual and very professional, doctor Smith is so good! Oliver is very happy.
You literally could spend hours in this store and still miss things. There is something for everyone, tchotchkes and plants and cloth…found objects. Go here you won’t regret it.
Lovely place. It looks like a neat place for furniture. My wife says that they have lovely chachkies and knick knacks. It's a great gift place. If you're crafty there's plenty of stuff for you to implement into your work like stickers and stamps and scissors. It felt like there was a wide variety of cultures in the items as well which I found interesting. Great parking it was free nearby.
How much fun can you have shopping? Come tickle your shopping bug at Cargo!
Imports galore. Home items. Art and artifacts. The largest selection of every color party crepe paper streamers you have ever laid eyes on. Jewels for you or for gifting. Houseplants for thriving.
Cargo is more than just a store. Mystery, intrigue, a cacophony of color, and good old fashioned Portland service from the knowledgeable staff.
Limited hours/ entry on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Somewhat of a destination store, but worth the trip. Always great one-of-a-kind finds. The best place to pick up gifts. Also love the old school photo booth.
Truly great pieces imported from all over. One of those places where forgetting to look up at the ceiling means you are missing great stuff.
