Center for Human Development, Inc. reviews
8I've been desperately trying to get mental health help for years through CHD because they're one of the only options available that take my insurance. The last 2 counselors I've had through CHD in the last 4 years have ghosted me. The one my husband had ghosted him. So that's 3 counselors from CHD that have completely dropped both my husband and I when we needed help. And every time I've tried to call them in the last year they just hang up on me. CHD, get it together. People need help and they should be able to reach out and have you ACTUALLY be reliable. If someone can't get the help you claim to provide and you do this, then them killing themselves is 100% your fault. Either close down or actually do your jobs.
CHD helps a lot of people in this area. It’s not perfect of course, but from free vaccinations to housing, homeless, and mental health services, they help out.
Amazing people with great services. There is lots to offer here! Great Substance Use Outpatient services!
I have been employed by CHD for the last two years and have to say what a wonderful experience it has been. If anyone is looking for permanent work or an internship I would highly recommend CHD as the staff at CHD is warm and friendly with a professional but family-like regard for each employee. There is an openness to outside-the-box ideas and some room for some creativity. The administrative staff are so easy to connect to and there isn't an intimidating feeling between the Admin Council and everyone else. You really are treated like an equal. There are so many great programs offered in the building and wealth of knowledge and experience with all the various professionals. I hope to keep some connection with CHD always.
These people need education, less controlling ego, preparedness before calling a client, and answer msgs.
This place has so many different resources all under one place! Great public health organization.
The workers there are, amazing at handling crises that pop up and bend over backwards to help ya out
