Chambers Covered Railroad Bridge reviews
10Many of these covered bridges seem to have been relocated, which was disconcerting to me, I want to see them where and how they were used. And this particular bridge is a local hangout for high schoolers as they use choice words with each other
The only concern was parking, but there was free parking about 100ft away on the side of the road. It's got lots of information both inside the bridge, and on the land side. I was amazed by how they were able to reconstruct it with all original materials. Worth the stop, but you must also see the other bridges that are within walking distance. Get your steps in, and enjoy the fresh air and friendly residents.
There really isn't any parking but the bridge is cool and there is a neat little metal train out front
Unique railroad covered bridge. One of only 2 or 3 in the US. Now part of a pedestrian walk/bike path. Renovated with timbers from the original structure.
Beautiful park with rebuilt/restored covered railroad bridge. A real historic gem that allows one to walk across. Completely handicap accessible. Historical markers both inside the bridge and around the park walkway. Cool park benches made from the old railroad car axles. Well maintained. Must see when in Cottage Grove
This bridge is fully accessible, unlike most of the others in the area. It has a fairly thorough permanent display, giving the history of the bridge and the area in general.
A great big covered bridge with lots of local history about it near the entrance on the east side of the bridge.
This is a piece of Cottage Grove history. Come take a look, and be amazed on how it was built. There are plaques to read that tell a story of the way things used to be. Worth the trip.
One of my favorites I've found so far! It's definitely worth seeing. Whoever restored this bridge did an amazing job! However, parking is hard to find but if u go to the backside of where the bridge is you'll find a section to park in.
I absolutely LOVED this bridge for some reason.
The surrounding area made the bridge that much more beautiful.
Saw a gorgeous Blue Heron. Just memorizing.
The town itself was quaint and I just wanted to jog all morning there!
The river was swift flowing and the sounds were music to my ears and very soothing
