Chan's Chinese Restaurant reviews
16I would give this restaurant no stars if I could. Just brought home hot and sour soup. Been craving this soup for a few days now. It was disgusting. I’ve had many hot and sour soups before and this was by far the worst I’ve ever had. The rest of what I ordered was not great either. Not worth the $40.
Tables are a little too snug, and decor is dated.
If that keeps you from going, then more for us.
They have a very broad menu including Egg Foo Yung and MuShu which is hard to find. Peking options and mandarin chicken will knock your socks off.
It was so good it was really yummy like it's better than sushi not going to lie and you guys should get it and the waiters are really nice and kind
Great service and a quiet but friendly atmosphere. Great for a dinner for two, lunch on your own or a family affair. Clean, fast service and reasonable prices for sharable meals.
Normally this is a good restaurant. For some reason tonight it just wasn't good. The flavor was way off and the sweet and sour chicken was very undercooked.
Easily one of my favourite Asian eateries when I am in the area. The BEST hot and sour soup that I have had as well. Pro-tip - get it half and half with egg flower soup. Great lunch specials, huge portions, awesome service, great food with unique flavours that reflect creativity from their back of house. Explore the menu.try new things and you will be rewarded with a positive culinary experience.
As a chef, I recommend this place for it's menu and attention to the quality of what crosses the pass. As a fan of good Asian cuisine, I recommend this place for a great meal that will promise you another meal as leftovers from their large portions and a satisfying experience.
Our server was very polite and helpful and the food was great! My husband had 3 helpings of soup he enjoyed it so much. Serving sizes were generous. We have enough leftovers for lunch tomorrow. All the items came quickly and were delicious! We'll be back.
Some of the best food in McMinnville and very friendly service. My favorite is the kung pao any protein it is delicious. For appetizers the potstickers are amazing and I could dip anything in the potsticker sauce I wish I could buy it by the gallon.
Very friendly, the plates we ordered cost ~$15 but they were big enough to feed 2 people! Great bang for your buck. Also very friendlyband helpful staff. Our server refilled our glasses several times!
Used to be the staple place to go for family food for gatherings but unfortunately the food is not only super expensive, it’s really bad: (they’re really sweet and accommodating and will credit your food or let you get a new order.
The chicken now used seems like a came from a starving chicken lol no bigger chunks it’s all cut small odd shape, and very dry, like chewing bark and had 0 taste, the hot and sour soup was all sour no hot.out of 8 people served and 3 large servings of orange chicken no one touched it after the first bite.
Update: they never did refund our $ as promised
Food was great! Server was fantastic. The only thing off about our visit was the fact the two ordered entrees came out 7 minutes apart. Over all it was a good experience.
I was very disappointed the food use to be really good not so much anymore. We ordered two different plates and both had so much zucchini it was like eating a zucchini plate it was horrible. I doubt we'll ever go back. We've been eating here for years.
The sweet and sour chicken wasn't cooked all the way. Not enough sweet and sour sauce, The cocktail/hot mustard sauce saucer's looked like smears of red sauce with a dab of mustard. Very disappointing.
It is ok but the food is a bit bland and could be hotter. I buy from them but I wish there was a better alternative even if I had to pay a bit more. One thing to bear in mind is a single entre will clearly feed two people.
The egg fu young was so disgusting is was not even worth the one bite taken OMG over cooked dark brown in color super thick like a frozen hamburger patty size. My sweet and sour pork was actually chicken and one plate ordered missed the noodles it came with. Never again!
Chan's Chinese Restaurant has some pretty tasty food and is prepared in a timely manner. Very casual atmosphere and friendly staff.
Menu has lots to offer and takes a little time to preview the whole thing if you've never been in before. Small print on both sides.
I had the Sweet and Sour Chicken w/ veggies combo plate. More than enough to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. Left with enough for lunch the next day. Definitely get your monies worth
