I liked they have almost every Makita tool there. The prices are better than the internet. Clean store and nice staff. I will definitely be back

You've got to go there to truly appreciate and experience the great deals to be had there. That and it's amazing the display is actually all the quality tools a person should be able to choose from. Unlike certain big orange and blue places.

For repairs, the team used to be great at their Southeast location, but it seems there's been a bit of staff turnover since they moved to the new building. Slow, disorganized order tracking, very limited stock of parts, month-plus lead times. Hate to say it, but you'll do better on your project timeline and your balance sheet by just selling your broken tools for parts rather than waiting for repairs here.

I have been going to this store since the late 80's. Besides having great tool lines they repair them also. I joke with my coworkers that my tools are older than they are. A great place to buy and have your tools repaired.

I bought a Dew alt cordless framing gun about a year ago.when i First bought it it worked great. About a month later it would not advance the nails without help. I put up with it for a few months until I couldn't take it any more. I took it to the only warranty reps I knew of in the valley Charles H Day. After having it for a few weeks the tech called me and said there was quite a bit of rust in it and would need extensive cleaning and cost over a hundred dollars if i wanted it done. Not only was I upset that a $350.00 gun was that bad off knowing I don't leave them in the rain, but after telling the tech i didn't want to spend another $100.00 dollars on it to I got it back in a bag full of parts.when I went to get it the salesperson said it be a liability if they reassemble it. I guess it's not if you pay for it. Oh and by the way, they never said it would be given back to me in pieces. I ask the tech what brands are the best. He recommend two others that were suppose to be number one and two. Both them THEY sell. Makes me wonder.needless to say I won' be buying De Walt or shopping Charles H d Day anytime soon.

Went to the Roll-Air site this afternoon to look for a new air compressor found this company. Found there number threw the site very easy to manage called Charles H Day to ask if they had one in stock they did. Great said it was an amount then asked if could write a check with them to come buy it now. The young man on the phone didnt have a answer he works in the tool dept he said didnt know this at the time passed me on to another person asked if had a account to write a check i replied no we do not.i said who we were what company and that didnt matter at all got a little rude so i just said ok thanks and hung up. I then with in few seconds called Leo from Northwest Staple Supply asked if he had same one he said yes said i will send our guy down to pic it up. Leo said he will have it waiting with fitting. They were a little higher but well worth he customer service. And yes we DO NOT have a account with them never have

Don’t go here for any warranty issues. My Makita battery powered drill is covered under a 3 year warranty (per Makita, I called them to verify), yet this place won’t honor any of Makita’s warranties besides the standard 1 year. I called Makita a handful of times to double check that I had all the information correct, and they confirmed a few times that my drill is in fact covered under the 3 year warranty, but this service center wouldn’t honor it. They kept changing their story, initially saying that Makita only has a 1 year warranty on everything. Then, after I confirmed the 3 year warranty with Makita, the service center then said that they know that Makita says 3 years, but they aren’t going to bother doing it. They completely turned me away and told me they wouldn’t help me since I’ve owned the tool for over a year. They also told me that since I purchased the drill on Amazon, that they wouldn’t have even honored the 1 year warranty. I confirmed twice with Makita that purchasing it on Amazon is completely fine and doesn’t affect the warranty at all.

So I’m left with this conclusion: this service center - while being an official authorized Makita service center which Makita themselves directed me to - frankly must just be lazy and not want to deal with warranty issues, but still wants that “Makita” label associated with them. I’m going elsewhere for warranty service, you should too.

Chas Day is my go-to for power tool repair and purchases. All the employees are super knowledgeable and I know that they’ve put torn down and put these tools to work when they give me a recommendation. They have all the good brands of power tools, even a whole row of Festool. I buy a lot of Makita LXT here and can even usually get discounted or free batteries in with the deal. If you’re a pro, stop going to Home Depot and go here

A surprise to find a hardware store with so many high quality tools. My new favorite place for tool shopping.

Not very knowledgeable help here. I’ll be shopping elsewhere. I stopped in to see if they had any 18 V Dewalt batteries for sale and the guy tried to sell me a 20 V Max battery saying that it’s up to 20 V. LOL The 18 V connection is completely different than the 20v.not very knowledgeable here
They just want to sell you new stuff only

Ahh!
Great service and Great artillery of tools that HD and Lowe's can't even come close to.
Former Lead Carpenter from Kennedy Restoration/1 800 board on 7th and pine.
Your old place was on 11th and stark?

If we ever needed any repairs on tools or to get good tools (Charles Day) was absolutely mentioned.

I can't wait to see your new facility.
Thank you CHD family for being ever so awesome!

I've done business with Chas. H. Day for thirty years, the new location isn't as convenient, but there's a lot more retail space.

Charles H Day, is an amazing supplier of tools for the professional. Yes, their prices are normally higher (sometimes really high) versus Amazon. However, you do not need to wait on Prime for the new set of Knipex or a Makita product. My only complaint, and for most individuals they will not care, recently they have cut their Festool line in half. It is understandable as most individuals who use Festool are some form of woodworker and can purchase Festool at multiple other locations around the area and Charles H Day is geared more towards other professionals. It just upsets me as I always try to give them my business first.

Great customer service. One of the older guys here called up a manufacturer rep to help me figure out exactly what will work for what I needed to do.

Chose to bring my business to CHD co.another captain recommended them and we were able to pick up parts promptly for a previous contract with great service.
In November we attempted to place an order for a Vacuum hose, was quoted a price and was told 7-10 days, after two weeks my wife called to check on it, we were told it was back-ordered from Milwaukee. Christmas passed and she called again to check on it, got told the shipping and receiving manager quit and they would figure out what was going on with the order.we called again last week only to be told that the part had been discontinued.almost TWO Months of delays and excuses.so I researched purchasing a new vacuum only to find out they went up in price! How could a tool that had discontinued parts go up in price? This didn’t make sense and so I dug deeper on the manufactures site only to find out that the part is still available and in fact not discontinued, as we were told by CHD Company. In my research I was led to schematics that specify that there are two versions of 0880-20-B34B one with external hose storage and one with out each having a different part number- This was stated in a BIG RED BOX on each page of the Milwaukee schematic so how did they miss this? Lame super lame, and I’d hate to think we got less than better service because I asked my wife to place/handle he order ‍️

I cannot speak highly enough with the customer service that I received recently. It totally took me by surprise and others expressed similar reactions when I shared my experience. If more companies acted with the same awareness their market share would expand rapidly. Thanks for being outstanding!

Great place for all things related to battery operated power tools including a service department. Need another charger or battery, they have bins full of them. This is where the pros go but they let us in to.

Phenomenal customer service. Super patient - amazing prices - and not pushy about sales. More than happy to support this brick and mortar store
