Cheap Frills Quality Resale, Newport OR

This was a fairly large resale/ antique mall. I found a few cool things to purchase but I am sure it depends on the day you shop here as to how much you can find that is worth your time.

When going to the coast, wife and I have been stopping at this place for at least 15 years. This year is the first time she doesn't want to stop strictly because of the customer service.

The workers at the checkout in front of the store ignore you when you walk in but are friendly when they chat among themselves. They generally act inconvienced when you check out. Think they forget the customers are what keeps them employed. Never shopped there before closing, so no lights out issues but I believe the posters that say that happened.

If you can get past the customer service, there is a lot of stuff to see and can spend a long time there. Prices are generally good and reasonable.

Traveling from San Diego to Washington and found the coolest place. Cheap Frills in Newport Or! What a delightful place to shop. Staff was so very friendly and helpful. Excellent selection we found so many unique items. Don’t miss them.

Great little consignment store. Prices varied from reasonable to ridiculous. Overall, had a lot of fun. Bought a couple things, and probably would have got more if I'd had more space in my luggage. Staff was very friendly.

When employees are standing around at the front doing literally nothing and don’t greet you, walk out! I should have but didn’t. Not only is this place dirty but everything is jam packed to the point it should be considered a hazard. Many items were overpriced and damaged. I also came across racist items

Absolutely adorable store with so much stuff to explore. The staff was super helpful, they packaged my purchases up really well so they could make it the 9hr trip home as I was on vacation. My husband was able to haggle a bit about a fishing pole and we were both very happy with our purchases.

Was really upsetting to see a sign for sale emblazoned "Saloon closed for hangings" right after seeing an entire 8ft display for Trump 2024. Was very unwelcoming

Cool stuff and all but the customer service is terrible. The ladies that were running the store turned the lights of on us 15 minutes before close and pretty obviously didn’t appreciate the business

I see quite a few reviews saying rude employees, this was not the experience I had, I didn't notice any employees until I was checking out and both times they were very polite. I found some really amazing gems here mostly at really great prices. The place is HUGE so I had to walk around quite a bit to find just a few things but I'm really, really glad I got them!

I understand that you want people to be out of your store at closing but turning all the lights off at 4: 55 when you close at 5 is ridiculous and a safety hazard

If your looking for older stuff.the place to shop.from collectibles to nostalgic stuff you had in your life.

Got plants and dishes that match our set. Wonderful people, grand variety, and stickers galore.

So many random finds! Different vendors so prices vary drastically but I found lots of cute things!

There are alot of shops like this throughout Lincoln County were you can be treated with proper customer service or you can come here and get treated like you are an annoyance, bothering them trying to spend your money. I have also found at ANY of their competitors you can recieve help if you are looking for something particular, rather than have a rude woman roll her eyes at you and start turning lights off a full half hour before closing (god forbid allowing a paying customer to finish up giving them money). Well they must be pleased I dropped my basket and paid them for nothing. I will be sure to leave glowing reviews for shops of this nature that do know what they're doing hence forth.

Lots of stalls filled by individual vendors.
I know the saying goes “one mans trash is another’s treasure” but some of the areas/items really needed cleaned out.
That being said there were a lot of other stalls filled with really cool stuff worth a walk around
Especially since I’m sure stock/vendors trade out periodically
