Chops Shop Cycle reviews
3 Do not! I repeat do not do business with this scammer.
Patrick should never lay his hands on a motorcycle, the horrors I have dug up on a dirtbike he built was beyond what I could have imagined from a high schooler, let alone an adult trying to push products for a profit.
Pictured is a nut from a valve adjuster that came loose, jammed up into the camshaft and broke the head. This was only on the second ride after the initial purchase.
Also pictured:
The carbs started dripping fuel profusely after the initial ride. Upon disassembly their was found to be a sealant used instead of new gaskets on the carb float bowls.
The aftermarket skid plate he bolted on also fell off while riding.
He obviously has no idea what he is doing when he uses duct tape to hold spokes from becoming more loose instead of trueing the wheel.
I can’t believe Patrick even defends himself. Just please for the sake of humanity go make a living at McDonald’s or something of the sort, before you hurt someone.
And now we have learned you work on motorcycles that are rode on the street, manslaughter is no laughing matter.
Pictures have been uploaded with Patricks name and Chops Shop Cycle name included with bill of sale. Proving they did all of the work on the bike to turn it into a heaping pile of junk and then selling it…
Had a major electrical problem with my Harley, came to my house that day, and fixed it within an hour. Very reasonably priced. Very nice and clean cut.
Regardless of the bike being sold private party, what Patrick is doing is not right.
This guy sold me a xr500 dirtbike, unloaded the bike from my bed and drove it around the block. Upon re-entering my yard the bike stopped running. Now the bike has no compression and they wouldn’t even offer a partial or full refund for the bike, literally the next day.
Update:
Apparently Patrick adjusted the valves just before selling me the bike amongst a bunch of other horrible modifications.
Coincidentally why the bike lost all compression is because a valve was bent…
The reason the valve was bent is because when he added a bunch of improper lighting and the compression release would bind up and fully engage when the handlebars were turned to the left… Causing the exhaust valve to hit the piston while running.
