Problems with addiction? They can help! And so much more, shelter, youth collective, food ect. Seriously, you need help turning your life around? These people understand and care.

I did some volunteer work here and it was clear that the City Team is doing amazing God's work here. Well run, gracious and loving staff. Volunteer here!

This is a tricky one. $5 but u gotta hit the streets at 6am. When it's freezing like mad outside. Almost defeats the purpose. Well seasoned homeless only!

I couldn't believe the man Cory A.became through the treatment program offered to these men. It's amazing the turn around rate. Who knows maybe CITY TEAM will open one for woman one day. This place had an impact in my life in the best possible way. I will forever respect the men that assisted in the change that my man made within himself. I AM SO PROUD OF U CORY. THX CITY TEAM PORTLAND (PDX). KEEP CHANGING LIVES FOR THE BETTER!

I was at City team in 2016 for 10 months I didn't graduate because one of the people that did graduate from there got me a job for reynella produce which I'm grateful to him for that it is too bad that Roger relapsed I consider him a friend of mine and he's got one of the biggest hearts anybody I've ever met I would recommend anybody going to City team the program is a year-long and they do help you out. I will always be grateful that City team helped me my time of need William erfourth

If you have a bike you must keep it outside. I'm a bike messenger for Jimmy Johns and thus my bike is a work tool, this is portland, and that's not the most savory part of town. They charge rent ($5) to homeless people for a sopt on the floor and a mat. It's just a bunch of suff like that, that lead me to the conclusion that City Team helps people ON the streets, they don't help people OFF the streets. They're not part of the solution, just a band-aid fix, and a terrible band-aid at that.if your homeless there's better options ask around we have lots of shelters here in Portland. If your looking to donate or volunteer, I'd give you the same advice, your help would do more at another shelter, keep scrolling maps, there's lots of shelters here.

It's mostly run by residents on the recovery program as laid out by a director. Nevertheless they are quite friendly. The showers need a major overhaul, which is to say they rely on donations to run the place.
Homeless people get to spend nights there if they have $5. Voucher holders are given preference. There's bible study and an AA meeting once weekly. The guys are fed every morning and night, 'cept for Sunday morning. Everyone must be out by 8 am. Program residents stay on mornings doing Bible study. The process is fairly successful.

This place is great for getting your mail. That about covers it for the girls. Showers are constantly gross (this is how you get yourself one big case of athlete's feet) it's ridden with mold the floor is beyond disgusting. Donations are never washed before being redistributed (that's how you spread body lice, head lice, scabies, and crabs.yuck) blankets are usually clean but I don't think they wash them either. Over all the treatment members are amazing, they just aren't good at being maids.great cooks tho. Worst part of the place has got to be the homeless trash people (obviously) that just went nuts and they kicked me out for cleaning the bathroom. Eek. Maybe the portland rescue mission will fix my traumatized and scarred experience and at least be clean. Here we go.

I think it's a wonderfully helpful place. The resources and services they provide to the community make surviving if not just possible, a little easier for the community that needs it.

Besides having trouble breathing when I wanted to sleep I got a shower! I'm glad I had been given a voucher for this public resource, but I'm still awake since I had to leave.

As a graduate of City Team all I can say is that they are the real deal. They give and give and give some more. From 2009 to 2011 I received spiritual support, mental health, addiction recovery and life skills support. I will always have a spot in my heart for the ministry and the staff.and my support at the skully meetings 8/20/11.almost 10 years now clean and sober. Thank Roger and my dear sponsor.may your retirement be fruitful.leif the 7ft giant
