Classic Thai Cuisine reviews
16The owner is very nice and is always happy to see you. The food is delicious! They always make the dishes vegan for me.
One of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. The staff is so nice, they always have treats ready for our dogs. Food is super good and at an affordable price point. We usually get curries to go, but you can’t really go wrong with any of their dishes. Can’t recommend them enough- they even helped provide catering for our engagement party. Check them out!
Delicious Crispy Fried Duck in a booth@ lovely clean cool atmosphere @ Classic Thai. Thai Iced Coffee put me to rights!
I came in on a super hot day and ordered Thai tea and tofu tom kha to go and the person who took my order was so sweet! They offered me a glass of water while I waited and told me I was welcome to sit at a booth so I took my cup of ice water and sat. The atmosphere was nice and they brought my Thai tea out to me super fast so I got to enjoy it while waiting, and it was delicious! It took around 5 more minutes for them to bring me my food so I barely had to wait. Got home and the tofu tom kha was amazing! Can’t believe it took me so long to go here when I go to the plaid pantry next door so often! I will definitely be back.
Take out service was fast and efficient; food was delicious (coconut prawns and Tom Ka coconut soup with chicken), and Tinna was warm and friendly, as usual!
I gave this restaurant three chances being that is in my neighborhood. This is probably the worst Thai I've ever had! The beef in the pa nang tasted like it was rotten. There was no flavor or heat in any of the dishes. Spent over $100 just to throw it away. The peanut sauce was good though
Service is a bit slow, had ordered out a couple times and dasher waited extra 15 minutes after arriving to pick up; went in for just a Thai tea which oddly took quite a handful of minutes! Food wise, always has spice, which if you like heat, very flavorful. However if you are sensitive to spice and order it with zero heat, expect heat still. Got pad Thai with zero heat and it is surprisingly very spicy, especially since this dish tends to be very mild and safe for my palette at other Thai restaurants.
Their food is just ok, they raised most of the menu prices by almost 20% and got rid of their lunch specials completely. There are better and cheaper Thai places nearby.
We’ve eaten here a lot. Takeout, and dine-in. It’s always hot, fresh, and flavorful.
The service is always great, Tina is amazing. She always gives our dog a treat and makes us feel like family.
You’ve got a lifetime customer!
I've mostly gotten takeout from here. This was my first time dining in. Excellent Thai food. Excellent service.
I have lunch here maybe 1-2x a week. The tofu salad rolls are my favorite plus on some lunch days they serve you a yummy broth with your meal. Everyone who works here are so sweet and really friendly.
Good food, fine service, airy interior. The restaurant does a lot of takeout business, but the dine-in seating is pleasantly sparse.
The older lady/owner is super nice and friendly! On top of that their food is amazing for a decent price as well. Would recommend!
I’ve ordered take out from here twice- this time because I was enticed by the volcano beef. Ordered it ‘spicy’. What you see in the picture is the full $17 portion with the included rice. At first glance it looked very light on the beef so I separated it… and that’s it. You it were mind blowingly flavorful, I might get it… but it isn’t. Bummed because the woman who works there is so nice… but for $17, this is disappointing.
I placed an order for pickup, and received a friendly call while I was on my way to get it letting me know that my order was ready. When I walked in, the women at the register greeted me by name (even though this was my first time there), smiled, and handed me my order. The service alone was enough for a five star review, but the food was also amazing. This is the best Thai food I've had in Portland. I'll definitely be back to try other things on the menu!
