In 2018 we purchased a Marlette home when it was only seven months old. An inspection during escrow showed a number of problems. The seller contacted Marlette Hermiston but they fixed nothing (although they told him they made the repairs). Fortunately, we had it re-inspected. The roof was not done properly at all. In fact, water sat in puddles at the crown. Marlette told us they didn’t have to honor the warranty and claimed the house and roof met HUD standards. All lies! I sent the inspection report and photos to HUD and they said all roofs must meet the same standard (whether manufactured or site-built), which this house didn’t. HUD encouraged us to file a formal complaint with the Department of Labor and Industries in Washington. We also learned that the state of Washington also requires manufactured home companies to honor the warranty for one year regardless of a resale. We had the roof repaired to the tune of almost $8000. We contacted our lawyer who helped recover the money from Marlette. Many other issues remained unfixed (e.g, water line leak, gas fireplace had no electricity connected to lighter). We paid for those repairs. Contacting Marlette’s customer service was impossible. We got a recording everytime, and no message was ever answered. No one responded to email either. Even the distributor where the home was purchased was unhelpful. Thus the lawyer. This was disappointing as we owned a Marlette home previously and had no problems. I wouldn’t recommend this company and would never buy another home from them. Their customer service is nonexistent.

I took delivery of my home in October 1998. The roof in the kitchen very poor quality. When I tried to contact them phone calls did not go thru and from asking around was told they were out of business. Had to pay for repairs out of pocket. Not the quality they used to be. Sorry I ever purchased one. Hope others have had better luck.

We have gone in twice to talk to these people and they were very short and didn't even offer to show us the homes. We were interested in a home on the lot and the guy said it sold and asked if we talked to the guy at Fleetwood down the street so we are going to take our business to Fleetwood

The lady who sold Marlette homes in this area was a top seller for the company. She made sure everything was done properly from start to finish. She also backed it up after warranty expired. I have lived in this home 11+ years and it is still in very good condition compared to many I have seen and/or lived in. I paid extra for many custom upgrades. That may be where some of you made a mistake. The home has a cement perimeter [permanent] foundation. Cabinets are wood. Floors are tile, wood laminate and linoleum, done by an independent or myself, after installation. Roof is custom metal which holds up fabulously to wind and snow (good pitch, as well). Insulation is beefed up to withstand the coldest and hottest temps; have not even used a cooling system in a very hot summer. As I said, I paid extra; wanted as much comfort and life as close to a stick-built home. Most cannot tell it is a manufactured home. You get what you pay for! Thank you, Marlette.

Purchased my home in recently. Not happy with it at all. Cheap cabinets, alot of details missing. Issues with dry wall in ceiling of kitchen. Backsplash looks like blind person installed it. Piss poor quality control if you ask me. Wish I never bought a mfg home in the first place. Kitchen cabinet loose and had to build a support. Shower had issues but those finally got fixed. Marlette needs to do better at quality control.

Home was built poorly and with no pride in workmanship. After months, still waiting for home to be fixed. Broken window. Bad flooring. Paint on everything. Half of electricity not working. Silicone smeared on everything. Cuts in trim. Cabinets damaged.
Overall bad experience and huge dissapointment in this product. Buyer beware. Do not buy this product.
Things i paid for and have yet to get like a working shower, both bathrooms. Tub wont hold water. Faucet wont shut off. It goes on and on.
No pride or quality in their workmanship and product. Bad. Bad.

I build cabinets, I've been here 8 months. I love working here and the benefits are good. The people are great, they had a summer BBQ for the family of Marlette. They are also doing a Christmas party for the Marlette family.

Junk homes. Well never buy another Marlette home again. Poorly constructed, cheap materials. Baught a single wide in 1996 brand new. Outside trim is made from compressed sawdust as the floor is made from compressed sawdust. We spent $33,000 for a piece of junk. Stay a way from Marlette.

We are a retired couple that bought our forever home 9 years ago from Marlette. For the first 5 years we complained about the roof leaking in one spot or another. After have ass fixing each complaint the 5 year mark came and they told us our guarantee was up and have a good day. We just finished paying for a total new roof at the cost of $15,000. This is not something that an elderly couple, or anyone for that matter, should have to do on a 9 year old home. The roofing company showed us many facets of the roofing application that were done incorrectly at the factory. Buyers beware-Marlette is not a company that will stand behind their product.
