Coastal Mist, Bandon OR

Stopped in here after having lunch and wandering around Old Town for a while. Got a scoop of tasty gelato and also picked up some yummy fruit syrups; I loved the selection of local cooking ingredients and had to resist the urge to buy more!

Spectacular chocolate, no wonder I've heard folks looking for excuses to go to bandon just to get it!

Only note is the espresso added to the drinking chocolate was extremely over extracted (bitter). Next time I'll get the drinking chocolate without the shots and head down the street to bandon coffee to get the best of both worlds!

Amazing patisserie. We had a chocolate cake and baguette. Both were very good. Coffee smells better than it tastes but still okay (fresh coffee always smells good).

Of all the places I have eaten in Bandon, this one is my favorite. They have a some great food items as well as the delicious chocolate and mochas as well. They are normally pretty busy and the staff is slightly impatient, but they do get people through quickly so you don't have to wait long in line.

Wonderful Euro-style chocolate palace in little downtown Bandon. The chocolate bombs are incredible, as are the drinking chocolates…. I like the liquid caramel with cappuccino. Also wonderful are the pastries for breakfast and chef salads for lunch. Pictures of the owner with Julia Child are on the wall, and it makes total sense.

The coffee is ok, not perfect
But as a patisserie it is probably the best one we found driving from cannon beach. And may be better than anything we be tried in pet land.

Everything about this place is 5 stars. The con panna had so much vanilla bean in the whipped cream that I was left stunned, the espresso was rich, well selected and well made. The “spumoni” chocolates I paired with it were incredibly novel and creative, the dried cherry, cocoa and pistachio, all individually matching so well with the coffee. The fact that the Paris-Brest I brought home with me was on par with the ones I had in the best boulangeries of northwestern France is just icing on the cake. Absolute joy

The drinking chocolate is a game changer and the desserts are delicious. Such a cute little place.

So so good! And good prices too! The flakey pastries were delicious. Very cute decorations as well.

Delicious, fresh, high-end chocolates and pastries. Also ice cream, coffee drinks, and sandwiches (although I've not yet tried the sandwiches). Plus a selection of oils and condiments for your home kitchen. Limited seating in the shop but there are other places to sit in that area.

We LOVED everything! We bought chocolates, Gelato, and best of all. 3 specialty desserts. We can't wait for our next trip south!

Dropped in again, just wonderful. Excellent pastries and drinking chocolate! There is a fine selection of frozen delights at the gelato bar. Love this place. Ordered the vanilla cheesecake (see photo) and flight of sipping chocolate.
Upon each returned to Coastal Mist, I always order the hot Mayan drinking chocolate: it simply satisfies. My taste-buds entertained the best of two worlds- half Mayan and half Belgium Dark sipping chocolate topped with fresh whip cream.

CALLING ALL CHOCOLATE LOVERS! Or for anyone w/a high end sweet tooth. The desserts are amazing no matter what u choose. There's a lot of chocolate stuff, but other things to like cheesecake, eclairs, & several flavors of Gelato. Great place to get a sweet gift for a birthday or any other occasion that calls for a small amount of cake. Desserts are not cheap. But absolutely worth it, not only delicious but beautiful as well.

I'm really impressed with this romantic place and excited to come back try some more items. I love their drinking chocolate options and I got a latte with chocolate. Yum! The banana brulee croissant is also very good and unique. I also want to try their handmade gelatos when I'm back.

Must visit each time we are here, excellent pastry and fine chocolate shop, with amazing looking lattes and liquid chocolate, breads, quiche, ice cream and some souvenirs. Great seating and ode to Willy Wonka, Gene Wilder

Amazing desserts! Their sandwiches are amazing too! I ate here nearly every day for a year. Love this place!

My husband and I come here every time we are in Bandon. I love everything I have ever tried here from different French bread options, brownies, macaroons, parfaits, everything here is amazing!
