We have been coming here to see Dr. Benziger since our daughter was born. We love it here. Everyone is always friendly and helpful and pleasant to see and talk to. Our daughter loves Benziger.

Lack of compassion and poor quality of care.the receptionist are beyond rude, and refuse to book appointments for medically urgent situations.i was given false information regarding insurance they accept, which led to wasted time and an even longer delay in appointments.i have never in my life received worse customer service than from these receptionists.they should be embarrassed.

I have been a patient here for several years now and overall am satisfied with the level of care provided. Recently, for example, I was prescribed a blood pressure medication which actually caused my blood pressure to go up and not down. I was impressed with how quickly they responded and worked with me to arrive at an acceptable outcome, namely that I’m on a different med that seems to be working thus far. I was insistent that I did not want to continue using the medication (lisinopril) and they were fine with that, clearly explaining what my other options were. I have received slight brow-beatings from doctors in the past, sort of a “how dare you question me, just do as your told” and do not get the slightest whiff of this from Dr Sperry. An excellent doctor who also seems like a good person.
The only reason I put four stars and not five is that some of the receptionists can be less than friendly and helpful. In fairness the last few times I have called, over the blood pressure issue, I have received excellent service so perhaps they have recently changed that.
All in all I would recommend Columbia Gorge Family Medicine as a primary care provider.

My family and I have been going here for years. Dr. Grey is our primary.
My son had to get his finger poked this last week, and was very scared… Dr. Grey offered to let my son do it to him first which really helped calm his fear. I’ve never known a doctor to go that above and beyond! Thank you

I have been at this clinic since I was a child. I've always seen Dr. Gray as my primary but occasionally see other providers. I have had a good experience each visit. Super grateful to have my pcp!

Awful!
They care more about testing for covid, which they do nothing to treat, than caring for my son.
They sent us out into our car to test ourselves.
After coming here for over 30 years, we will never be back!

It's almost impossible to get someone to return a phone call. It also takes forever to get a referral when one is needed. That said the nurses and doctors seem to be knowledgeable and helpful.

Find somewhere else. You should take this comment seriously, because this office will not take you seriously.

Dr. Gay, Dr. Benzinger, and the billing department are the only people that will be of any help. If you are not seeing/talking with them, then you will leave confused, frustrated, and/or mislead.

If you go here and cannot find anywhere else, DO NOT see Laurel Russell. I cannot emphasize this enough. She has completely screwed up myself, my mother, and my partner over at 3 different times for 3 completely different issues.

I had gone here for 3 years now. I feel neither customer service nor your health are their priority. I am trying my luck elsewhere.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Got told many different things and did exactly what they said and could not get seen. These people are NOT to be trusted with your health! Avoid at all cost!

Do not recommend anyone to go to this clinic. You’re better off going to one community health.

I love the staff here. Especially the office staff. Unfortunately my favorite physician just left the practice but I am optimistic that I will find a new match. Don’t be afraid to try different physicians until you find the perfect fit for you. It’s an important relationship. Invest in it.

I have been a patient here for about seven years. Even through the pandemic, these people have gone out of their way to meet my medical needs including follow up phone calls when I've been really sick or worried. Being a polite patient does have its advantages though. So if you are rude to them, you might not get the same friendly attentive service.

Terrible service. I have called on several occasions and have been put through to voicemail. This left me to having to leave multiple voicemails, multiple different times, and no one has ever gotten back to me. Do not bother leaving a voicemail if you require a response at all because they’ll say it got lost!

Receptionist had an attitude with me, she had just came back from lunch I don’t see how you can be rude to a patient after a break. Lighten up.

For years my mother had been a patient at CGFM, of course people miss appointments here and there (over years) and apparently they decided to finally in force their “No show policy”. This left my mother without a medical provider without warning, luckily she had no emergent medical needs and was able to find a PCP elsewhere. I feel they should reevaluate their policy and begin by warning patients and not leaving them without a medical provider out of the blue. I’m still a patient there and Clara, Megan, and Jessica have all been excellent providers. Sometimes administration can really compromise the views of an organization.

I was super hopeful I could become a loyal patient here, but sadly that is not the case. I went for a new patient visit and requested for certain procedures to be considered and the doctor ordered the wrong procedure for the symptoms being presented. After that their referral coordinators seemed to not know that they should notify the patient of their referral process and I was waiting two weeks for a referral to go through, just to find out they were going to bill the wrong insurance without letting me know of this. As soon as that was figured out, I have my much awaited appointment within a week; although it's 3 weeks late. Which in any field is crucial, but even more in the medical field. It saddens me that the concerns of the patient, myself, were not truly attended to.

Good luck trying to get data sent from Columbia gorge family medicine to another provider. Multiple phone calls failed to activate action on Columbia gorge family medicine's part. The support staff appears to be either overwhelmed or not up to the task to do the work.
