Corbett Farm reviews
20I went with my best friend and we had a lovely time. The ride was about an hour and the horses were very well trained and seemed to enjoy themselves. There's a cute "magical garden" hidden away along the trail. I'm not sure on the spelling, but we rode Raea and her mom Mayday.
Corbett Farms was a great place for a first time horseback ride. Stewart was very courteous on the phone and worked to fit me and my wife into the schedule. The farm is beautiful with lots of animals to check out. The trail ride was a fun jaunt through the woods around the property and the horses are so calm and cooperative that even I, a first time rider, found it pretty easy to navigate with very little instruction. We had a great time! Highly recommend a trail ride for a fun date idea or something to do with the whole family.
My husband and I had such a fun time riding at the Corbett Farm with Stuart. We enjoyed petting the animals and admiring the farm space. I've been searching for a place just like this for the last 10 years but didn't have much luck. I'm so glad we didn't give up! I got to ride Mayday and she was extremely responsive to my commands. Even with limited riding experience, I felt very safe. We requested to extend our ride to do the longer loop which I highly recommend. By the way, we had no idea Stuart was such a talented photographer. He was more than happy to capture our perfect day. We can't wait to go back!
I had the best time riding at Corbett Farms! Stuart is so welcoming, and accommodated me last minute for a ride before I left Oregon. The farm and stable are beautiful, with lots of animals and horses. I got to ride Rhea for the day, and she was a dream. I am a newer rider, and Stuart gave me a lot of tips to help me get better in my form. On our ride, we got to stop on the trail and have wild blackberries. I also had had the best trail mate, Boo-Boo, the farms resident doggy! I highly recommend getting in a ride in if you are in Portland or the surrounding areas.
Stewart at Corbett Farns and his dog Boo Boo are wonderful hosts! The more inexperienced riders in our party of 5 got a riding lesson before taking off on a trail ride in the forest. It was very fun, nice horses, beautiful weather!
This farm is soooo pretty. You are greeted by chickens, turkeys, and cats, and a little dog. They are also a few peacocks running loose! Stuart is very knowledgeable -owns all his own horses - and he picked the right horse for me. Provided chaps for the ride in the woods. A perfect host, took pictures, etc.in the green wooded trail with streams and wild berries…….
We visited Corbett Farm for a trail ride today and we absolutely loved our entire experience! Hands down best of it's kind. The animals are beautiful and extremely well-loved and good natured. The trail ride through the forest was stunning! I'm here from Canada visiting family and this is an absolute must; whether you're local or visiting! Thank you so much Stewart and Corbett Farm for being such gracious hosts. We will be returning.
The morning we spent doing a horseback ride and hanging out at Corbett Farm was the highlight of a trip to the Columbia River Gorge and Mt. Hood area. This is a welcoming, accessible and positive place to do a trail ride, connect with horses (or the variety of other animals on the farm), and just enjoy this beautiful corner of Oregon.
The horses were wonderful, well-behaved and well-cared for. The owner made sure everyone was comfortable and good to go on their horses every step of the way. His hospitality and genuine joy made this a special farm — one where we were invited to pick berries, explore the beautiful property and even scratch the back of a chumbly, portly, perfect pig. Corbett Farm is clearly a labor of love for the benefit of animals and animal-lovers alike.
I had a great time. First time riders are $95. Stewart was very patient and kind while teaching how to ride. We went on a trail ride which was amazing and relaxing. Everyone was super nice I got to also help feed the little duckies too.
Amazing staff were great with the kids. The trail was beautiful and they bent over backwards to fit us in on a busy day while still making us feel like we were the only ones in the world. This is the place you are looking for.
Awesome, fun, and easy going.
This place was so cool! I had absolutely zero experience riding, but Stewart was really helpful, and the horse was so good as well! The farm was super peaceful and welcoming and the trail was amazing as well! I definitely recommend and I'm excited to go again!
Trail rides rock! My granddaughter has taken riding lessons for a number of years but now it's time to hit the trails! Stuart was wonderful and funny. The woods surrounding Corbett Farm are amazing. So beautiful. Stuart was terrific showing us around and giving my granddaughter kudos for her riding abilities. Now of course she wants lessons from Stuart.we'll see!
Oh my goodness! GREAT RIDE AND WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE! Stuart provided Exceptional guidance! My partner was a first time rider and I’m a long time horse person and it was just perfect with his tips and instructions! Paired us with fantastic horses and then had the most magical, beautiful ride! Raia and Reese were gems! So was Stuart! We will see you soon! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
Organic farm life is a fresh of breath air when you step onto the farm. Includes outhouse porta potty, chickens, turkeys, peacocks, ducks, and a cute dog. The horse ride went along a nice quiet trail. The host was really nice. Clear instructions and guidance on how to handle the horse. Offered to tether to horse for an easier ride. Couldn't have been easier, and we were made to feel really comfortable. I recommend to other beginners.
This place is amazing! I grew up with horses but haven’t ridden in many years, and this was the perfect place to go to finally ride again. Stuart was so kind and helpful and made everything fun! My husband and I loved the horses (Mayday and Reese) and the trail was beautiful. We even got to have the adorable dog BooBoo follow along! We will definitely be back ️
This was a great trail riding experience. Stuart was very knowledgeable, patient, and fun. We got to pick our horses and the ride itself was beautiful. They live on a slice of heaven and it was close to Portland. I can't recommend this enough. I'll definitely be back.
Took our daughter there this past weekend for her birthday. She is 21 and had never ridden a horse before. She absolutely loved it! The people were very kind and helpful. Horses were great! Cost was very reasonable. Will definently be going back!
Loved the experience at Corbett Farm. Stewart is a great teacher for novice riders - very patient and kind. The trail ride is gorgeous, on a path through the woods. Other animals on the farm are fun to visit as well.
We took the whole family. The kids had a great time. None of them had been on a horse but the owner was very nice and made everyone comfortable. The horses were sweet and gentle (and beautiful). The trail was pretty. The peacocks? Are very cool! I would definitely recommend for a family or even just a couple.
Had a great experience at Corbett Farm today. Stewart is a great host, the farm is beautiful and the ride was exciting and peaceful at the same time—I just wish it was longer. Def worth the drive in from Portland. My partner rode a majestic horse named Mayday. Highly recommended
