Y'all! After having my 2009 Honda Shadow with super low miles for 4 years, I have finally found THE PLACE to have it serviced! I have been told "NO" from multiple shops due to the "age" of my bike. I found this amazing man after an emergency happened the day before a 3 day motorcycle camping trip. Long story short, an issue that was off an on and didn't seem like a huge deal, made my bike not start the day before my trip. Not only did he diagnose an issue that I had (that no one else wanted to touch) is less than an hour, he had it fixed the very next morning. Additionally, he went ahead and addressed little things to make my bike run even better and didn't charge an obscene price. I will be taking my bike to Gary from now on! Thank you Gary!

Gary is a motorcycle guru. He's amazing. We will always be going to him for our motorcycle work.

Found this shop randomly online and took my bike in for an annual safety check and repair of the speedometer. Great guy that owns it. He said he's been there 38 years just doing what he loves and it shows. Fair price. Great work. Highly recommend this place. I'll be a repeat customer.

This guy is legit. Gary has helped me several times with advice. He has on several occasions, talked me out of doing something that would have made him money, but he assessed was the wrong thing to do. A rare characteristic. I will always come back to Cycle metrics when I need bike work done.

Best mechanic ever! We were in a time crunch and both my sons had bikes other shops would not work on due to being in the late 1990's (don't get me started on what I think of that policy). Not only did he work on them, he got them in quick, fixed amazingly well, with an exceptional attention to detail, and it was all done for a fair price. There is not enough good I can say about this shop!

Gary is a great guy, and the best mechanic. Brought my vintage 78’ bike in again after 9 years for another overhaul. I wouldn’t take it to anyone else.

Gary Black is a master mechanic and he explains everything. I brought him my new to me 2010 Honda NT700VA and wanted the valves adjusted and a safety check. Gary noticed that my clutch cable was needing adjustment, something l didn’t even notice. Services completed included: valve adjustment, spark plug and air filter replacement, clutch cable adjustment and lubrication, oil & filter change, bled and replaced front and rear brake fluid, flushed and refilled cooling system, replaced final drive oil, wired top box brake light and some very arduous fabrication. I am extremely and totally impressed and satisfied with his work and I look forward to visiting him next time I need a mechanic. He’s the real deal. He cleaned my bike and polished the windscreen too. I can ride my motorcycle with confidence knowing that it’s safe and the maintenance is up to date.

My son just bought his first bike and we needed to get a number of things on it fixed, as well as stuff fixed that we simply did not know to fix (we are both new to bikes).

We picked Cycle Metrics because it was close to where we live.

We are very grateful we did. The owner, Gary, was so very helpful and kind to my son and me.

He fixed everything that needed to be fixed, tuned it up and sat us down to tell us some basics on maintenance.

Finally, he recommended to my son that he take the Oregon motorcycle class even though my son has a scooter. We hadn't considered it, but thanks to Gary, my son has decided to take the lesson before he starts riding. I support this decision and I am very grateful to Gary for it.

Gary is awesome! His attention to detail and knowledge is impressive. We have used him for years. We bring our bikes all the way from Battle Ground WA just to have him do the work. We highly recommend his work!

This guy is the real deal.you won't find a more knowledgeable, fair guy.he got my old bike that had been setting for over 5 years running like it was brand new again.and rebuilt the forks.a true motorcycle god.if it's fixable I believe this guy can do it.truly a stand up guy.

Gary is the man! By far one of the best motorcycle mechanics in the Portland Metro area, if not the state. He has always been friendly, honest, and straight forward. There are not a lot of shops that are willing to work on older dirt bikes 25+ years old but Gary has helped me with two older vintage bikes while other shops and dealerships have turned me away. Great guy, great service, and great experience!

The service was fantastic. The prices are the best. The communication was awesome. Worked on my 2003 yamaha R1 and did an astonishing job! Highly recommend this shop! I will be back for sure!

If you have a motorcycle and your not a customer at Cycle Metrics your wasting your money on service and repairs. Lol
