Dahlgren's Do it Best Building reviews
16The sales person was very nice and patient with my questions and helped me find a way to fix my problem for a reasonable cost.
Saved a trip to big city, had what i needed. Dont expect choices, just be happy they have the routine stuff. They seem to accommodate by ordering items if you desire something they don't stock.
THE BEST PLACE EVER TO GET YOUR WOOD. The customer service is really great and they strive for excellence. The usually have everything you need. Great selection and service is why I come back.
A great to shop for your next project around the house. If they don't have it, Dahlgrens can get it. Thanks guys.
Great small town service with good prices. Fast knowledge help. I had a small fencing project and after 3 trips in one day the nice gentleman got involved and got me more organised and made sure I had "everything" I needed and saved me prpbobly 2 repeat trips.
If you just need a few items and are local this is a great option. Saves me a 1.5 hr round trip going to Portland.
This crew of "yard dogs" seem to be right on top of daily operations in a small lumberyard. I simply walked threw the yard browsing for a few items. The yard dog forman helped me out with a great idea and a reasonable price. The old man cruzzing in his little cart is very grumpy and could use a bit of 420 therapy. Give your crew a pizza party and a raise in pay, "old man"!
Very helpful and knowledgeable! Friendly and fast service. Prices are comparable and most cheaper than the other hardware store in town.great selection of products!
The lumber is warped, rotten, over priced and the customer service is horrible. I would rather travel to Portland or Longview than ever come here again, they should be selling the wood at scrap prices not market value.horrible quality.
Don't know why there are so many haters. We built a tiny house in town and used Dahlgren's because it is convenient. They are pricey, but they can't realistically compete with the big boys. That is why they get 4 stars. However, every time we went their crew was super helpful. Larry, Scott, Jeremy, another young buck, and all of the inside staff have been very helpful. I even tried to tip them and they politely declined! These folks are kind and helpful!
No frills, but local hardware and building supplies at fair prices. I find it easier to get help here than at places like Home Depot or Lowe's.
All talk! Remind me of car salesmen (75% of then not all). Waited 3 weeks on siding and they used the same excuse. "Our driver is picking it up today. " Not the case with me and far as lumber goes, 2 of the 6 2x4's were split and missing chunks. If you buy wood from them, make sure you pick it out, not them. I'll drive the extra 30 min before I spend a 1$ at dalgrens
Don't go here if you're a woman. You won't get any help and the attitude from the owner is always misogynistic.
They have a fair inventory but I avoid them because they are just a bunch of bad attitudes.
They act like they are doing your favor by taking your money.
I wish there was a home depot or lowes close.
When I called to ask if they had a drywall bench, the guy told me they didn't have any benches made out of drywall that were assembled, I laughed, I couldn't help it, I had to explain to him what it was I was looking for, after he thought about it he still didn't know what I was talking about. So I had to stop production on a job and drive to Longview Home Depot. Why can't St. Helens get a home depot?
Salespeople don't seem to want to make a sale. Everytime I've called for estimates I've been rushed off the phone. Additionally, as I was preparing to place an order and PAY for delivery I was told that if their delivery driver was to help unload they would charge an additional charge per item. Ridiculous. I always try to shop local, but not with that type of service.
