7Very disappointed. My children have been patients at COPA since my daughter was born in 2011. The practice has always been busy, and the doctors are always running behind but it wasn't too bad. However, this problem has gotten progressively worse. At our last appointment we checked in early (as they always request) only to wait an hour with no one checking on us or providing us with any reason why we were waiting so long. When I finally inquired with a nurse why I had been sitting with my two year old for an hour in a very small room, no explanation was given, no apology made, nor was I told when I could expect to be seen. I had to return to work so we were forced to leave and my son was not seen by a doctor. I understand that appointments run behind sometimes, but some acknowledgement is appreciated, especially when it is a child's health at issue. I feel that patients of all ages simply deserve more respect than this. We will be moving to a different pediatric practice.
Hard to find. I'm used to going to the West side COPA near the hospital. This one is too far.
Good doctors but a little unfair, when my family went there we called to have someone scheduled about an ear infection, and mentioned another person getting checked on a bad cough. And they TOLD us that they wanted to see the one with the cough and said we could reschedule the one with the infection to come in 3 days later! After an hour and a half of talking we got both people in.
My kids have been going to COPA for 11 years and have had nothing but great experiences, great doctors and quick service.
So grateful for this caring, compassionate and knowledgeable group of doctors, nurses and staff! Thank you!
My family of 5 children, all of which
were COPA patients, three with chrontic condition were discharged by COPA Dr. Meyrowitz after I asked him to reconfirm a diagnoses of Gynecomastia on my autistic teenage son, for a class action lawsuit we were told we qualified for and he refused. I had asked him if he couldn't then and I would like him to direct me to a doctor there at COPA who would be able to help us. Again he refused. He told me that he would not because COPA uses that particular drug and didn't want to be involved. He didn't want to be associated with the class action lawsuit. But here is my concern, what about my sons health and mental state. I guess that doesnt matter. My son has been teased, and bullied for the way he looks because of this issue. Wow. I guess because I am advocating for my son, my children get discharged. Very dissatisfied and hurt.
