Dr. Estenson is amazing. She has gone above and beyond to help my rabbit. She even consulted with a vet in Corvallis to see what else could be done. Very much appreciated!

We have been taking our pets here for 34 years. Always get great care. We usually see Dr. Fullmer who is wonderful and so smart. He saved our dog from botulism about 15 years ago! Other vets are great, too. Dr. McGuire came out to our house to put our cat down. Office staff has always been kind and professional. There has been recent turnover in staff due to retirements and the practice being bought by a corporation. But there have been modernizations now such as electronic medical records, making appointments online, and ordering medication and food refills online. Their prices have risen, but maybe they weren't charging enough before. I see other reviewers here complaining about the costs. Compare DAC charges to other clinics, and you will see they are still reasonable. I love that their vets rotate being on call and don't send you to an emergency vet clinic. Now those places are expensive! It is a busy practice. Be prepared to wait when you go in, even if you have an appointment. I still take my dog here, even though we moved to South Salem 2 years ago.

I had to put my sweet baby down last week and Dallas Animal Clinic made it much easier for me. I really loved my pig, and the vets who performed the farm call were caring, sensitive, and loving towards my poor boy in his last moments. The vets were also very kind to me, explaining the procedure and offering appropriate options. There are few things more important than the living beings who give us love, and I will be forever grateful that my pig was able to have peace, love, and respect in his last moments. The receptionist also worked hard to understand my situation and helped me get a quick appointment.

We've been using Dallas Animal Clinic for a handful of years now. I previously left a review about how much we respect and admire Dr. Fullmer, and while we still do, we won't be using them for our animals anymore. The phone, scheduling, wait time, and the entire way the office functions is horrible. One of our dogs was diagnosed by them with periodontal disease and needed a cleaning / teeth pulled. They told us we'd hear from them in six weeks with an appointment date. Six weeks later no call. We call them and they say it'll be another month. Another month goes by and no call. We call again and they say it'd be another month and to call and remind them. So we call again a month later. At that point we are told we won't be seen for another three months. So we call a different vet who says they can get us in for a free consultation in two weeks and surgery within six weeks. They told me they'd request the records from DAC. After DAC gets a records request we suddenly get a phone call saying they want to do our dog's surgery the next week. Funny how that works. We decided not to go with DAC and instead went to Stayton Veterinary Hospital. They got our dog in an office visit, surgery, and post-op appointment all in 3 weeks. They ended up having to remove 20 teeth and said he should have been seen much sooner. They actually answer the phone, return calls, called to check on him post-op, and were up front about all the costs. They also costed less than the minimum estimate DAC gave us. Don't feel like you have to stay with the same vet just because you've been with them a while. There are better options out there.

Very good service with flexibility and understanding. Had to reschedule an appointment twice due to life stuff and was able to do so easily and quickly. When we were able to come in, we were taken care of in an expedient and compassionate way. Dr Doi was great with our cat and was very clear I'm her communication with me. Thanks for everything!

Very nice and trustworthy place to take your pets. We have gone here for at least 15 years and wouldn't trust our pets to anyone else.

I cant thank the whole crew enough. They got me in super fast and answered all my questions. Sent me home with what I need for my goats and reassured me in what I am capable of. I can't recommend them enough. ️

Kind and caring for my 13 yr old Shepridor during his checkup. Got his nails clipped and spoke about possible ailments and behaviors at length with Doc Estenson who was very attentive and thorough during her examination.
Shots and Bloodwork done quick.
Will be back with the Ol Boi for his next checkup and clipping.

Dr McGuire saved our dogs life. Our dog was seizing out of the blue and became lifeless. After calling my vet to be told there was no doctor available that day and to try Salem, I called Dallas animal clinic and the receptionist was fast to let me know Dr McGuire would skip his lunch and to bring him in now. We did and he was so kind and informative. We are forever grateful for him and his team for saving our dogs life.

We've had cats and dogs there for exams, vaccinations, and dental work; always a great experience. Dr. McGuire is particularly great: today we had a beloved kitty eutanized. As he has done in the past, he walked us through it beforehand, during, and assured us there was no rush for us to leave. Very empathetic as always. He cared for us as well as he did Dexter.

We have been taking both of our dogs here for a couple years now. Dr Fullmer is their primary vet and he is absolutely amazing. His word is gospel to me when it comes to our pups. That's just how great he is. He and the entire staff are just always so caring and wonderful. Thanks for all you do.

Outrageous charges for boarding of two dogs on holiday weekend. We figured $350 at most for 3 days. Nope… try $642!

My dog couldn't get in and ended up dying and my kitten couldn't get in now I have more kittens I didn't want they either stop taking new clients or stop only giving rich people appts and take into consideration how long the client has been with you

I received a call at 9 pm last night informing me that someone had found my kitty that had been missing since August 2019. Unfortunately the condition she came in was very poor. The doctor that was there did try their best to make her as comfortable as possible. Though he did try his hardest to get ahold of me through Pet Key, they did not call him back nor treat the urgency of the situation with care. Pet Key did not get back to him until 2 HOURS LATER, ultimately putting him in the position of having to decide to end my Lacey’s pain. As grateful as i am he did not let her suffer, i was sadly disappointed and surprised that when i claimed her the following morning that i was billed for the euthanasia… the decision was made without me and i, at the time had no idea she was even found/alive! I was prepared to pay for her cremation and the after hour call, but not for a decision that i would have rather made if i had known.the cremation was $164, his after hour call was $55.the euthanasia was $57.not horrible, but the most confusing part is that i was charged $59.50 for a Tranquilization SA. (explained below in update) With the few other charges only adding up to just under $12, my grand total came to $376.87… i am here telling this story because the total doesn’t sit well with myself. I will pay what i need to have my Lacey Lou back, but i personally believe that it is distasteful to charge an already hurting soul to pay for an action done unto their pet they had no part in making the decision for.especially for an animal that had been missing for 3 YEARS! And the Dr.knew this at the time she was put down.

I will only say one other thing.the demeanor and nonchalant attitude of the vet that was the one that cared for her in the end turned my stomach in knots.when he brought Lacey in from the fridge, she was in a garbage bag, and he carried her in the bag like she was a piece of trash, then flopped her body onto the exam bed…. It took every fiber in my already trembling body to not scream to him for treating my Lacey Lou with such disrespect! At least the very nice young lady tech was kind enough to carry her out like she was something to me, like she matter even though it may have just been her body…

Overall, i have heard the other vets at this location are much better, but my personal experience was lackluster for sure. I hope my experience can help another.

UPDATE- 9/9/22.
I received a call from the clinic today and it was their manager Natalie, she saw this review and wanted to take the opportunity to hear my concerns and talk through any questions i had. She explained that the tranquilizer i was charged for was part of the euthanasia, the bill i got just broke down the euthanasia into an itemized list; makes perfect sense. She heard my concerns and made me feel validated in our conversation. She even went ahead and removed the charges for the euthanasia because of my personal situation which was above and beyond what i could have asked for. She even told me that if she were in my shoes she would have similar feelings about my experience, which was so validating to hear. I forgot to ask for the Dr. ’s name that saw me and helped my Lacey as i still do feel his demeanor and nonchalant attitude was my biggest issue at the end of the day, but she said she will take my feedback and discuss with her team and hopefully grow from this experience which is all i can ask for. Again i have heard great things about all other Dr. ’s at this clinic, and the staff i met did go above and beyond to make sure i had a good experience. At the end of the day i am happy my Lacey Lou was in good hands and had someone take care of her like i would have.
If i wasn’t moving out of state, or lived in Keizer i would definitely use this clinic again, just not the same Dr.:)

Great service and love Dr. McGuire
He goes out of his way, just to help the animals. He is the type of vet that truly cares about your animal. Thank you

This place is extremely slow picking up and dropping off animals is a long laborious process. The prices are high and I don’t see the value.

They fit me in for an issue my dog was having and were so polite. Not having pet parents in the office is stressful, but they were so great at updates!
