Department of Human Services East Branch reviews
12Quick and easy. I know it's not always like this, but the employees here we're helpful and got me in and out
This place should learn to stick it's nose out of certain situations but others i totally agree with. The inside is really child friendly tho
Went in there about a week ago and its like the security guards are running the show? There was a line outside and we just went in to ask what the protocol is because nothing is posted other than to wear a mask. They were sorta rude when we just wanted to know how it worked. Be prepared to wait up to 20+ minutes to get help.
I truly had tears in my eyes leaving this place. Absolutely the best experience I have ever had in dealing with any Portland office. The ladies both in front and the worker that helped me showed an unprecedented level of genuine care and resourcefulness and aid in FOOD STAMP helpfulness they did this with every person I witnessed dealings with as well. Thank you so much!
Not long wait time, spacious, private, must wear mask, security at doors, 6ft apart enforced, lines over 10 people wait in line out the ft. Door they have a mail slot to drop paperwork by ft. Door, maybe 10 service windows to assist, they can do dv there, snap, tanif, Tania, health ins, housing, jobs, life coaches, child support some services, some got grants, daycare assistance, bus passes and many other local resources. Can apply online also.
People being people~ helping people know that you can be respected & find what you need in the fastest way or you didn't check the service ~
Decent customer service, but a lot of questions that can't be answered by the workers.
This is a DHS building nice looking on the inside but hardly any toys and no bathrooms in the visiting area with your kids have to go out to the lobby and waste 4-8m and it's not worth losing time with your kids.
I only go to this awful place for one reason which I care to not share this place is a joke Department of Human Services They don't serve no one very well everyone that works there is rude and obnoxious and they all should be fired
I had to go here during the pandemic to help a friend get her son's food stamps. I first went here to get applications, the people Inside were very nice, and even gave me a mask when I had forgot one before. I got the applications I needed quickly and I was on my way. About a day later when I had gotten them filled out I had dropped the kids back down their to turn in their applications and it took prolly 15 min for them to get them approved and scheduled for a interview over the phone.
They're very tidy, and security helps direct you. I was in and out in maybe 10 minutes.
Fast pace service if in at a decent time frame, also great for kids if their with you there is a play area with mini houses with bean bag chairs
