Deschutes Brewery Portland Public House reviews
19The parking garage across the street is not crazy priced but parking is hard to find. We like to take family visiting from out of town here. The NA Black Butte Porter is my favorite NA Beer.
Ehhh the atmosphere was nice but I was never greeted for a beer. I had to ask the person to get a drink and even then, it seemed like he wasn't having a good day. I hope things are okay with him but it was not the experience I was hoping for a place that had great reviews and was known for its service.
The nitro stout was also not as good as I expected. Not sure if I want to come back to give it another chance.
Holy cow so good! I have always loved Deschutes beer but the food was good too!
We got the steak and bacon burger and it was incredible. It was only beat out by the Garlic Fries (whoa!) and the Caramel Pecan Pot de Crème!
Also, our server was the nicest and most helpful form our trip. Cannot recommend this place enough!
I haven't been to this location in many years and I was pleasantly surprised at how good it was. Excellent food- the Dungeness crab roll was so good. We will be back soon. Only complaint was our server disappeared at the end and wouldn't come back to our table with the check. I guess that large party automatic gratuity means they don't have to care.
Come hungry, and don’t just get beer. The food is outstanding and the service is excellent!
Great food and atmosphere. The first time we ate there the servers were excellent. The 2nd time there was a shift change. We hot our bill, divided it up and went to pay and the new server added extra food and almost doubled my bill. When we told her it wasn't correct and the first receipt was right she acted like we were trying to rip her off telling us she didn't deliver our food. We held our ground and asked her to get the first receipt we sent our payments with and she came back with a credit receipt and never apologized
Loved the vibe of this place. Beer was very good. And food was also good. Had plenty of vegetarian options to choose from.
Great anchoring brewpub in Portland with fresh drafts and creative specials menu against the backdrop of a solid menu that has evolved over time.
Very large public house with a great selection of brews. The food wasn't too bad either.
Best wings on the planet as far as I’m concerned. Our waiter was on point, and killed it on service. I would recommend this place to everyone. Is now one of my favorite spots to go
It gave me great memories of my first trip to Portland!
I keep thinking about the unique wing taste!
This is kind of a cool place, but with the open floor plan if it's busy it gets so loud you can't even here a person at the other end of your own table.
The food was OK I ordered fish and chips and it was mediocre, but the other diners enjoyed their burgers.
We were also a large party so I'm cutting some slack to the server, but even so 3 stars is the best I can give. Service was a little slow and for some reason you couldn't order apps at the same time as drinks?
Great atmosphere, great food, and amazing service. Absolutely nothing to complain about. We will definitely be back sometimes when we visit Portland again.
And obviously, in a prime location, which makes it even more enjoyable
Great brewery. Fast and friendly service. Good beers. Nicely decorated. Water station. Indoor, outdoor and bar seating. Flights available with 6 beers.
Great selection of local beer. Atmosphere is great. Right downtown, quite busy. Recommend.
Always a great experience while visiting the Deschutes Brewery Portland Public House. This past Saturday was more enjoyable as they offered a flight of six years of The Abyss!
Great food, menu has variety. Atmosphere can be great, especially near the side street windows. They are understaffed and so the waitstaff seem rushed and frustrated, though they are doing their best
Fun place to hangout and grab a beer and some food. They have some really good local beers especially the IPAs. The homemade sausages and pretzel with cheese are great starters to share. The coho fish was tasty and cooked just right.
Just moved to the neighborhood, and by chance came here since the other brewery I was gonna try out was closed. Picked up some to go drinks and the hostess was helpful and kind. I will come back to try their food.
