Disability Aging & Vet Services reviews
4 One of the best locations to get information or through to a case worker on same day call or arrival to receive services.
The Beaverton aging and disability office has always had friendly staff, who were courteous, friendly, and prompt in regards to answering the phone, your questions, and directing your call where it needs to go.
It's a rather small office in a strange part area of Beaverton I lived in the area for years and never knew it existed until I started receive SSI for permanent disability.
They have always helped me here faster than any other DHS location in Washington county or Multnomah County.
I assume since it's kinda a hole in the wall Location for department of human Services that they do not get the same volume of foot traffic or calls in regards to gaining weight services.
I have never once had an grumpy or grouchy employee at this location and Everytime I've been there or called they resolved my concerns with my benefits same day usually within an hours time.
Not saying they can do that always but just speaking as to the availability of reaching someone who can help you in whatever your DHS needs may be.
Freaking it's a joke!
The eligibility officer's are HEARTLESS!
I'm disabled with the brain damage since February of 2012 and I wasn't even coherent from March, 2017 to March, 2021!
And, they said they CAN NOT help me with all of the out of pocket expenses, even I'm supposed to be covered for that!
Freaking A.
Very prompt and helpful service. These folks are super nice and will explain things clearly. They make it a lot easier to navigate this confusing web of systems, lol. I'm very grateful for what they do.
So disheartened and disappointed. I really need help navigating the system with my elderly mother. OHP assured me that this department would so helpful as they know the drill. I got a call back fairly quickly but they only wanted to tell me she’s already being helped. She is not and needs care urgently! They belittled her situation, without asking questions, instead of offering help. I feel so badly for folks who do not already have an advocate helping them. I don’t know how they do it.
