Dog Gone Clean-Beaverton/Portland

I helped my sister take her dogs in to have their nails clipped. We were taken quickly. But the groomer managed to cut one of the dog's nails too short and it bled all over the place. He had a hard time getting the bleeding to stop. I wasn't that impressed!

Always friendly and always do a fantastic job. My dog also loves going as they are always extremely kind to him.

On August 29 2019, I took my three dogs for grooming and one of my dogs got CUTS on BOTH of her ear margins from the CLIPPER blade and it was bleeding even when we got there, after four hours of service. Our groomers name was Ria. When we got there, they told us that they think my dog had cuts before the appointment, which is not true. We also asked why they did not call us immediately after they noticed the bleeding, and said they just continued the service even after they found out.
Luckily, I had photos of my dogs I took right before the appointment to send to my family members. Specifically, my dog sitting on their table with her ears perfectly fine. Instead of apologizing right away for their actions the workers did not admit that they cut her.
They became silent after we showed them the pictures and said they don’t know what happened. They NEVER apologized. The manager asked us what we want and we said that we want to take my dog to the vet. The workers told us they will not charge for today’s services for my dogs and will pay for our emergency vet visit. We went to the emergency immediately and Doctor’s note indicates “Cuts on ear margins - appears suggestive of clipper blade cut, given the hair is shaved along the margins near the cuts. ” and it will be a permanent damage.
I called them after the vet to update them with the charges but they said they will not be paying for the vet bill because we did not pay for the service. After trying to explain the situation to the management, they were very rude and uncooperative. They refused to give me the owners/managers number, talked over me on the phone, hung up on me several times, and blocked my phone number after a while.
A worker named Wendy said she is the manager but constantly refused to give manager’s info and told us the manager refused to contact us. We are wondering if it is true. If it’s true, this is a seriously poor management. Their actions really made our family feel that they were not sorry for hurting our dog at all. I just hope no more animals get hurt from this place again.
We totally understand that people can make mistakes but they should own up to their own mistake and apologize properly. This whole situation was just unacceptable in so many ways.

Wendy has groomed our dogs for years. She is excellent at what she does. All my dogs love her and she treats them like they are apart of her family. Can’t give enough praise for her.

Great groomer at a great price. I felt like they were really paying attention to my dog, not just churning him thru like the chain groomers did. We were very excited to find Dog Gone Clean and very happy with our experience there.

Weeks ago our dog stopped let us trim his nails. We took him to Pet Smart grooming but they couldn't get our dogs nail. We found Dog Gone Clean, Corey was super friendly to our shy dog. Calmed he down immediately. She did a great job clipping his nails. She will be the only one trims Chase's nails from now.

This place is great. I take my 5 year old English Bulldog to the private self serve rooms, as she has IMHA an immune disease. She has to have a very sanitary area for bathing. They allow me to call and give them notice so they can prepare her room, and they understand she is very shy and scared so they make her feel comfortable. Now she even takes treats from them. I love how they help me and her. GREAT PLACE!

I've worked for many grooming salons and not only is this the cleanest place but the staff is the hardest working girls I've had the pleasure to work with. The owner cares for her staff and the clients/ pups, leaving this the family atmosphere I've so longed for.

I have a geriatric Shih-Tzu who hates groomers I've been having a very hard time getting groomed lately, until I brought him here. I was allowed to stay for much of the appointment and I saw Wendy do an incredible job on my dog. I also saw the other groomers doing great work on the other dogs while I was hanging out. I was very impressed and won't be bringing my dog anywhere else!

The place is clean and their self service stations are nice but I took my dog in for a groom and they did a horrible/weird job. The sanitary trim wasn't in the private parts area, they just trimmed the upper belly and chest. I told them twice to not trim the chest or anything in the front and they did. They were also kind of rude.

Great prices, self serve is well equipped with dryers that actually knock out the fur from my Malamute/timber wolf!

When I called in and spoke with this rude lady for price to bring my havanese for grooming. Lady was extremely rude and not helpful, she was not able to provide me with a date or time when she might be able to book me in and said we too busy. In Fact she hung up, how rude. How could she deny my poor little bella. I will never call this place again, no people skills.: (

The staff are good at what they do and tolerate unruly customers and their dogs. It's a bit hectic and always loud so make sure to bring earmuffs for sensitive dogs. The self serve station has all the necessities needed and are always clean. This is one of the best dog salons around would recommend.

I took my dog here today. It was good, not great. My dog haf to Pee so bad when I got there. They didnt trim his ears at all. He seemed ok besides the whole pee thing. The groomers did a very good job, i just done know jow well they handled him. 2 dogs were really crying when I came. Made me kinda freak out. Next time I'm putting a GoPro on him and make sure he wesrs it tje whole time. They did s good job, just not sure on how well they handle my dog.
