Douglas County Fairgrounds reviews
16I attend a lot of fair events, I have to say the parking at this fair is a bit confusing, along with the layout of the fair itself. The concerts were great this year, along with the beer selection! This fair and food is reasonably priced for what it has to offer, there were a lot of vendor booths and the staff was very helpful when I came into the fair. I look forward to coming back next year.
We went for the county fair, $10 entry which is fair. They had some awesome food options and even tho it was hot and tons of people were around, the bathrooms were clean, there was AC in some buildings and lots of places to cool down and get drinks. Alcohol was hella expensive but thats expected. We saw Craig Morgan play there and although after about 30 seconds into his set everything cut out they got it all back up and running again and the show was amazing.
Came in on Saturday I was surprised how clean the group of young men and women were keeping the tables cleaned just bumped out they don't race on Saturday nite or I would have given 5 Stars
This was my first visit to a small county (<population 112,000) fair.
It was different than I've experienced in the past at larger fairs (population 400,000-600,000)
I had a great time, though!
They had all the usual fair food. They had a lot of various exhibits. They had all the livestock exhibits that the big fairs have. The rides are the same and the games are the same as the bigger fairs, but in smaller numbers.
The big concerts are the same acts as the bigger fairs, just 5 or 10 years past their peak.
I'll definitely be going back.
And, I might hit up a few more small fairs, too!
The Douglas County Fair 2023.
I don't go on carnival rides but the lines were ridiculous.
They need to find a way to have more rides and expands the area.
Certainly not the fair from years past but still better than most. The exhibits were pretty slim but the 4h stuff is going strong. It's August and it gets hot! Put in some water misting stations around the fair.
Two small tacos $10.large nachos $16. Water $4.regular corn dog $6-$7 a large $10
One good bonus is concerts are free with fair admission except seats up front.
Another great concert in the books with Neal McCoy. He was such an amazing man. Hope to see him back.
Way overpriced. Travelers tip, walk around all food and drink stands and compare prices before buying. This will save you money.
Bathrooms are always dirty. The whole place can use a repainting. 2023 the fair was much better this year. Looks as if there has been some upgrades and maintenance issues taken care of. Bathrooms are still really dirty and need upgrading.
No handicap parking. Prices were too high for parking entering and food. The concert area was a joke.
Awesome place for events or even to park an RV for a day or week! Enjoy and we'll see you at the Douglas County Fair!
We drove over an hour to watch the races. When we arrived we were charged $10 to park on top of all the money we would spend while there. We will not go back. For a place that needs to produce revanew, they blew it. Many of the people that night that traveled as we did said that they will not return.
Location was easy to get to. Loved the 410 Outlaws. Track still needs more clay to make it better. Seemed like the racers were having a hard time passing, track to slick. RV camping was ok. Dry area, no shade. Water & electric only. Did have a dump station. A little noisy because of I-5 near.
First time at that track. We were in the pits and only had a couple complaints. Couldn't tell who the officials were in the pit side, none of them were wearing something bright or anything that spelled out that they were an official/worker at the track. And the parking lot/pit area seemed a little chaotic because spectator vehicles were driving in and out while race cars and teams were trying to go lineup or to their pit stall it was a little chaotic at a couple points (a safety concern for sure). Just because I mentioned those things, don't let that deter up from going to the track. This is their first year and have to go through the growing pains. I have the confidence they'll have this track dialed in in no time! PLEASE SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL DIRT TRACKS!
Went to the Rock show, had a good time, need more guns and rock shows, the Fairgrounds are wonderful.
First time ever seeing some races like that in person, gotta say wild time. Saw a PT cruiser really put up a fight, 2 karts caught on fire, and someone hit the divider. I can't imagine anyone ever having a boring time here 10/10 hope the races are on the next time i come to town
