Honestly, I couldn’t imagine buying a mattress online… what a hassle. I popped into Downey just to try a few mattresses and fell in love with mine. The staff is awesome. Honestly, he threw the best pitches and was so down to earth. Knowledgeable but not pushy, ya know? The delivery guys were in constant contact day of. They could have come early but I was unable to answer the phone so they called back to reassure me that they would still be there at the previously agreed upon time. They texted me when they were on their way and were very personable and friendly. They even brought me chocolates to thank me for shopping local.

We decided to shop locally for our new Tempurpedic mattress and were very pleased to find the prices were as competitive as Portland deals if not better. When we bought the mattress they warned us that it could be up to 8 weeks for delivery due to all the shipping issues and supply chain delay issues but were so excited that it ended up arriving in less than 2 weeks! The delivery guys were very nice and so polite. I really appreciated their thoughtfulness as they wore a mask in our home without being asked and wiped their feet before coming inside. Thank you! We will definitely buy here again for our next mattress purchase!

Great big thank you to Downey Sleep Center, Hood River (especially to David and Michael). I had to purchase a mattress for a parent in Assisted Living who could not come in to try things out. Both were super helpful. They coordinated with the care facility because the old bed had to be picked up by the rental company before they could get into his tiny room. And then it turned out that the whole thing was a little too tall for Dad and they switched out the box spring for a lower version. Super service!
