Dr. Maxwell Furr reviews
7Dr. Furr corrected a deviated septum that I'd dealt with since I was a teenager (bad snoring, interrupted sleep, and related issues). Everything about the experience with Dr. Furr and his team was exceptional. The result of the care I received was nothing short of life-changing. It's been nearly a year since my procedure and I couldn't be happier.
Dr Furr is an excellent Dr. He is great with small children as well as adults. I appreciate how he listens to our concerns and thoroughly explans diagnosis and treatment options. He has placed tubes in my children's ears as well as removed tonsils when needed. We have had a great experience each time.
I had a great experience with Dr Furr; he was very cordial and informative. I'd definitely recommend him to others
I had a great experience with Dr. Furr. He was kind, straightforward, and efficient during the consultation. I appreciated his candor when it came to the details of the septoplasty and also the difficulties of dealing with the insurance companies.
The surgery went really well. Before, my left nostril was very constricted, to the point where I couldn't breathe at all out of it. Post-surgery and post-splint, I could breathe out of it much better. Recovery was breezily easy and quick. No soreness. I didn't even have to use the prescribed opioids. Years later and I can still breathe out of it really well.
I think he's an amazingly talented surgeon. And from my experience, a kind and decent man.
When I visited Dr. Furr for throat and ear issues, I felt like I was being treated like a child. First, he insisted on cleaning out one of my ears. It turned into a painful process, to which he basically told me to stop being a baby and let him finish. The pain was too much for me, so I decided to come the following week to try to finish the cleaning. The next two days, my ear was in a ridiculous amount of pain, where I had to take prescription strength pain medication. I went to see him after the second day to see if he had scratched the inside of my ear, or done something weird to cause this pain. He said he didn't, and started to clean the rest of my ear out, but I still couldn't last long because it was still too painful. I eventually went to see my primary car doctor to do a gentle ear lavage, which was heaven compared to what he did to me.
He was very rude, unkind, and never called me back to give me my results for a throat swab. (I had to keep calling until his assistant was able to tell me the results.)
0/5 stars. I do not recommend him at all.
Dr. Furr was absolutely awful. He didn't listen to a word that I said and rather than having a discussion with me about my symptoms and health concerns he decided to give me a lecture instead. I would NEVER recommend him. He was rude and disrespectful and unfortunately I feel that I have to see another ENT because I honestly don't trust this guy at all. Horrible experience.
I had extensive nose surgery with Dr. Furr. From my first visit through my last Dr. Furr was a complete professional. He educated me on the issues with my nose and how he was going to correct each one. He put me at ease and answered all my questions fully with great patients. I'm extremely thrilled with the corrections to my nose. I will be passing on Dr. Furr's information to anyone who is looking for an ENT doctor.
