I wish I could give Dr. Kim and his staff 10 stars! I am now 4 months post op from rhinoplasty and I could not be happier or more satisfied with the results. I first had a consultation with Dr. Kim about 4 years ago and my only regret is not doing the surgery sooner. I knew right from the initial consultation that I would not go anywhere else. I actually moved out of state, but still had the surgery in the back of my mind. Once I moved back to the area, I scheduled the surgery. The surgery itself went so smoothly and the recovery was smooth sailing. I literally had no bruising and no pain, just slight swelling. I could already see the results with the cast/splint on my nose. My family was completely blown away by how fast I recovered. They couldn't believe that I had just had surgery. I honestly feel that the rhinoplasty completely changed my face (for the better), but I still look and feel like me.
Dr. Kim is a very kind, caring and professional surgeon. Also, every one of his staff members that I have met have also been so wonderful and kind. I feel very grateful that I was able to have this surgery done and thank you Dr. Kim and staff from the bottom of my heart. You guys are hands down, the absolute best there is!

Highly recommend! Dr Kim is involved in the process from the beginning all the way through the procedure. I felt like he is very invested and passionate about your results. I was treated with kindness, respect and felt incredibly comfortable. He's super personable and his staff are really sweet and helpful.

I am thrilled with my results of my deep plane face and neck lift and Erbium laser full face re-surfacing. I had surgery in March 2021 at 68 years and Dr. Kim is a master technician and a rare surgeon with an excellent bedside manner as well. He listened to my concerns about what I was unhappy about - my 'turkey-neck' and didn't try to upsell me into any procedure that we both felt was not necessary. He didn't touch my nose, as I feel the bump in it is what reflects my heritage as well as what makes me unique. I felt confident as he and his excellent staff answered all of my questions about what to expect and every time I look in the mirror - I am so happy I took the plunge with Dr. Kim. He is a true artist at his craft and you are in good hands if lucky enough to have procedures done by him.

I do not even know where to start! Dr. Kim and his team were excellent, the location is absolutely beautiful and clean. I never felt uncomfortable in their presence. Dr. Kim explained with detail what to expect during and after my nose procedure, so nothing was a surprise. My recover was smooth, I was back to work within a week (I had some bands on my nose, but I did not mind going to work like that). I would say the hardest part was sleeping, I sleep facedown and, on my stomach, so that was tough, but Dr. Kim had already explained to me this was going to be a challenge. It has been a little over a year now and I absolutely love my nose! I feel so beautiful and confident, and my life truly has been changed for the best! I always loved myself, but Dr. Kim made me feel so much more confident than before. My results look so natural that most people do not believe I had anything done. Overall, Dr. Kim and his team are fantastic, attentive and get you the best results.

I've been putting off writing this review for months because I'm afraid I won't find the correct words to describe just how amazing Dr. Kim and his entire team was for my rhinoplasty in January 2023! First off, I am currently located in Boise, ID and had to travel for my consultation. Dr. Kim and his team were very respectful of that, and communicative and informative leading up to and during the consultation. One thing I love about Dr. Kim, he's honest, he was clear about what realistic expectations for the procedure process and surgery results were. After the consultation, I immediately knew that I could trust him with my life and my face! I booked my surgery date. My mother and I flew to Portland the day before my surgery. We attended my pre-op appointment and all of my anxiety and deeply rooted fears were put to rest. The entire team met with me one on one, one at a time. They took their time explaining their role in the surgery and exactly what they would do, and answered all of my questions, and went through all of the paperwork with me, making sure I understood everything. I am someone who has a lot of childhood medical/healthcare trauma. I can't tell you how hard the thought of being completely helpless, unconscious with a bunch of strangers was for me. But, after this pre op appointment, everyone's bedside manner and gentle confidence was so incredible and soothing, I had very little anxiety afterwards. The next morning, I arrive for my surgery, everyone is in good spirits, calm, confident, comforting, and personable.it really felt like they had my best interest in mind. They were so empathetic. I was able to have some gas before they started anesthesia to soothe my nerves, I often have panic attacks when needles are involved. This team, was willing to go the extra mile in order to make me feel calm and safe in countless different ways, and it made a huge difference. I was so relaxed in the minutes leading up to surgery. I woke up, and the nurses took great care of me. In all of my high wobbliness, slowness, and basically reverting back to infancy, everyone was so kind, the nurses did not rush me at all, they were patient, sweet, and attentive. Dr. Kim and his team were very clear that if I had any questions or concerns I can contact them at any time. They were awesome! Post op appointment to get my cast off went perfectly. Everyone remembered my name, asked me how I was feeling, Dr. Kim, was very gentle getting the cast off.this entire team is just so empathetic and special. If you're considering getting rhinoplasty or any other procedure, book a consultation with Dr. Kim. You won't regret it. I'm so incredibly happy with my rhinoplasty results and am so glad that I went through this experience at Dr. Micheal Kim Facial Plastic Surgery!

I had a rhinoplasty done by Dr. Kim in February of this year, and it was the best decision I could have made. I’d wanted this procedure done for 12 years, and even met with other surgeons but it didn’t feel right until I met with Dr. Kim. He really took the time to listen to my concerns and explain what he needed to do during surgery in order to achieve my desired results. He is an incredible surgeon (coming from someone who has worked with a lot of them!) and he doesn’t make anything look too overdone. Everything looks so natural and like I’ve had this nose my whole life. Plus, he and his team are so kind. All of them made this an incredible experience and I would highly recommend Dr. Kim to anyone looking to get a procedure done (rhinoplasty or otherwise).

How do I begin to describe such a master of their craft? Dr. Kim performed my rhinoplasty in May 2021 and I could not be more pleased or impressed with every aspect of my experience before, during and after. To start, I am an out-of-town patient so my consultation was virtual - within moments of speaking with Dr Kim, I could tell that I was being heard. He listened carefully to my areas of concern and I never felt rushed as he thoughtfully answered my many follow up questions. We scheduled my surgery shortly after, and when it was finally time for me to come in for my pre-op, it was no surprise that I was given the same attention and consideration as I had been given during my consultation. I was nervous on surgery day, but Dr. Kim and his expert staff immediately put me at ease and ensured that the entire process went as smoothly as possible, THEN continued to be accessible/responsive all the way through my recovery and beyond.

I’ve never liked the bump on the bridge of my nose and after lots of research (reading reviews and looking through various before/after photos), I decided to book a consultation. From the get go, the staff was friendly and conscious about patient privacy. Dr. Michael Kim was receptive to both my fears and my goals with getting a rhinoplasty. Following my consultation, I was emailed a simulation photo that embodied everything we discussed during the consultation. I decided to book my surgery and I couldn’t be happier that I did.
The morning of my surgery, I was beside myself with nerves - tears and all. Both the RN and Anesthesiologist were absolutely wonderful in making me feel calm and comfortable. Following the procedure, the RN checked in on me and answered any and all questions I had. I experienced very minimal post operative pain/discomfort for about 24 hours post surgery, as well as no bruising - all thanks to the techniques and tools Dr. Michael Kim uses.
I am now 3.5 months post-op and my nose has healed up beautifully. Throughout the past post operative months, Dr. Michael Kim and his staff have continued to be available for any questions or concerns I have. I could not recommend someone more if you are thinking about getting a rhinoplasty. Although scary, completely worth it.

Dr. Kim is the BEST! He is a kind, wise, friendly, artistic, professional, top-notch, perfectly-skilled, knowledgeable surgeon. He uses the most up-tp-date techniques for optimal results. I am a surgical nurse and have worked with some amazing surgeons, one of which referred me to Dr. Kim due to his excellent skills in rhinoplasty and issues with my previous rhinoplasty. Dr Kim and his staff are amazing. They make you feel so comfortable and even tolerate bad post anesthesia jokes. Results are amazing and just keep getting better as time passes. Definitely worth the wait!
